Communications Offi.-Climate Change & Energy - WWF

WWF-India, one of the largest conservation organisations, engaged in wildlife and nature conservation in the country, invites applications from candidates with an inherent sensitivity towards the conservation of nature and exceptional creative skills to support the communication strategy and undertake content writing to help promote the organization’s work in its Climate Change and Energy  (CC&E) Programme.

 Location: New Delhi.

The Job Profile:

  1. Support the Climate Change & Energy (CCE) programme in the implementation of its communication strategy.

  2. Identify opportunities for generating communication and outreach for the CCE programme.

  3. Effective dissemination of the work being undertaken by the team to various stakeholders, including media, partner organisations and donors.

  4. Develop content for the website, media releases and promotional material. Also, coordinate printing of collaterals.

  5. Coordinate the planning and implementation of the Global Renewable Energy (Seize Your Power) campaign’s roll out in India

  6. Assist  in identifying communication opportunities for the Earth Hour City Challenge focussing on renewable energy and energy efficiency, and execute such plans aligned with the Climate Programme\'s communication goals
Qualifications, Experience and competencies required:

  • Post Graduation/ Graduation (preferably Mass Comm.) with minimum 2 yrs experience in content/ creative writing.

  • Candidate with prior experience in Climate Change/ Environmental communications and content development would be preferred. Technical writing experience is an added advantage.

  • Excellent command over English (both spoken and written). Ability to speak and understand Hindi is desirable

  • Experience of basic desktop publishing tools and working knowledge of productions of various mediums and technologies.

  • Knowledge of photo editing softwares is essential.

  • Ability to collate, analyze, synthesize and present information in a clear way.

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to blend in a multicultural team.
  • Willingness to travel / visit field sites.
