World Wide Fund for Nature – India

WWF-India, one of the largest conservation organizations, engaged in wildlife and nature conservation in the country, invites applications from candidates with an inherent sensitivity towards the conservation of nature and exceptional creative skills to manage the fundraising and outreach activities & oversee the Environment Education and operations of the Mumbai Office.

Location: Mumbai

The Job Profile:

• Support the fundraising activities in the region through interaction with Corporates and other institutions.
• Oversee the Environment Education projects in the region (ESD / campaigns/ workshops with schools).
• Manage the overall operations & team.
• Take forward and implement WWF-India’s local conservation initiatives.
• Develop outreach programmes with the community to engage them in our conservation objective.

The position offers challenge and demands innovation in carrying out environment education activities, field projects, fund-raising, interaction with the corporate sector.

Qualifications, Experience and competencies required:

• Graduate/Post Graduate (preferred) in Social Development/ Conservation
• At least 8 years of experience of working in a managerial position including experience of leading a team in  the areas of fund-raising, social outreach programmes & advocacy.
• Knowledge of working in the NGO sector and awareness on issues related to conservation/ social development is essential.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Proven leadership skills, and the ability to act independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
• Task- oriented with an ability to get the work done.
