Job Title: Health Educator

Location: Mumbai

Duration of the assignment: 1 year Contract

Following may be job responsibilities of a health educator for health outreach programme:

1) Asses individual and community needs in terms of health education so as to plan mega events for health education
2) Health educator can help in developing health education material in terms of leaflets in local language which will be a social marketing and branding initiative 
3) Health educator being working closely with community can be connecting link between Community Relation Officer and community members so as to strengthen community relation. 
4) Health educator will assist in organizing health education events/ mega health events
5) He/ she will take initiatives in building partnerships with local organizations to expand community reach 
6) He / she will develop audio visual print electronic resource material 
7) He /she will handle controversial issues in community if any 
8) He / She will assist in conducting research to assess impact of outreach programme in community

Eligibilities 

1) Candidate graduate in any stream preferably social work with minimum 3 years work experience in community programme 
2) Candidate well aware about community geographically and socioeconomically in south Mumbai 

Indicators for assessment 

1) No. of small seminars gatherings in community conducted per week 
2) No. of Health education material sets designed prepared/ distributed among community 
3) Reports about impact assessment in community 
4) No. Of Mega events assisted by health educator per month
