HelpAge India is a reputed charity known for its pioneering work in support of the disadvantaged elderly. Our work has benefited over 8 million elderly and our programmes cater to more than 1.5 million older people every year. We work in the areas of health care, livelihood support, residential care, disaster mitigation, social security and rights of the elderly. The funding for the programmes is largely indigenous and raised from individual, institutional and corporate donors. We also advocate for formation of policy related to the elderly. HelpAge India has worked for over 35 years in India.

Our Mobile Medicare Unit Programme which is a Community based health services for destitute aged persons and other vulnerable sections of citizens is being expanded to Kedar valley, Ukhimath, Guptkashi across the country. For this project we are currently looking for following:-

 

Social Protection Officer

 

The person will be overall responsible for :-

 

·         Management and implementation of the project

·         Community mobilisation

·         Monitoring , reporting and evaluation

·         Establishing linkages with Govt and other NGO’s and HelpAge India schemes.

·         Liaison and representational role

·         Field monitoring / office administration

·         Budget Management

 

The successful candidate will be:-

·         MSW / PG in social work / sociology with at least 4-5 years of experience.

·         Should have excellent communication skills both written as well as oral

·         Should have good presentation and PR skills

·         Should be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Offie and database management

·         Should be sensitive to the cause of the organisation

 

Medical Consultants (General Physicians and Gynaecologist)

 

The person will be overall responsible for :-

·         To manage the health related work of the MMU, ensuring that the desired services are provided

·         Make home visits for the patients who cannot come to the MMU centre / site

·         To provide group counselling to elders at the MMU sites on the health issues

·         To ensure that MMU reports, records, registers and other related documents are filled, maintained and updated

·         Assist Social Protection Officers in conducting the Health awareness camps, designing IEC materials and conducting health education activities

 

The successful candidate will be:-

·         MBBS (GP) / (Gynaecology) with at least 1-2 years of experience.

·         Should have excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Knowledge of local language is essential.

·         Should be computer savvy

·         Should be sensitive to the cause of the organisation

 

Radiologist

 

The person will be overall responsible for :-

·         To manage the health related work of the MMU, ensuring that the desired assistance is provided

·         To ensure that MMU reports, records, registers and other related documents are filled, maintained and updated

 

The successful candidate will be:-

·         Post Graduate qualification in Radiology with at least 1-2 years of experience.

·         Should be a member of IRIA

·         Should have excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Knowledge of local language is essential.

·         Should be computer savvy

·         Should be sensitive to the cause of the organisation

 

Pharmacist

The prime responsibilities will include:-

• To issue medicines to the patients as prescribed by the doctor
• To maintain updated records of the medicines
• To register the new beneficiaries

 

The successful candidate will be:-

·         B Pharma with 1-2 years of experience Fresher can also apply.

·         Should have excellent communication skills

·         Should be sensitive to the cause of the organisation

·         Should have basic knowledge of accounting

·         Should have eye for detail

·         Should have sense of responsibility

·         Should be good at record keeping and generating reports

·         Should have updated knowledge of new drugs entering the market

 

Nurse

The prime responsibilities will include:-

·         To register the new beneficiaries

·         Lead person in the home care team

·         Visit patients at home to offer nursing, psychosocial and emotional support as per the set protocol

·         Maintain records of home visits

·         Maintain the various registers used in the home care program

·         Refer patients to the physician/seek advice as and when required

·         Liaison with the social worker and trained volunteers

 

The successful candidate will be:-

·         GNM with 3 to 4 years of experience.

·         Should have excellent communication skills

·         Should be sensitive to the cause of the organisation

·         Should have an eye for detail

·         Should have sense of responsibility

·         Should be good at record keeping and generating reports

 

Lab Technician

The prime responsibilities will include:-

• To conduct all the pathological testing related work with accuracy 
• To maintain updated records of the Test / patients
• To prepare technical reports as and when required based on research

 

The successful candidate will be:-

·         DMLT with 3 to 4 years of experience.

·         Should have excellent communication skills with good knowledge of local langauage

·         Should be sensitive to the cause of the organisation

·         Should have sense of responsibility

·         Should be good at record keeping and generating reports
