(www.leprasociety.org) began its journey in 1988 and since then making relentless efforts in meeting the needs of the population suffering with Leprosy, Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, Malaria and Blindness. It is also promoting effective solutions to the problems that impede social development in the remote and rural areas in the four states of Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.

LEPRA Society, Zinc ORS Project is looking for suitable candidate for the “Block Coordinator” position based at 11 Blocks under Jabalpur & Shahdol divisions of Madhya Pradesh.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



• Effective execution of Annual Work Plan to meet all mandatory targets described as deliverables in the MoA with William. J. Clinton Foundation.
• This position is Block based position means Head quarter for each Block Coordinator will be one of the strategically located block in given district and will be responsible for 3-4 Block of allotted district.
• This position required extensive traveling in all villages of allotted blocks by using own two wheeler for performing project activities therefore a person only should apply who willing to work at village level project activities.
• Preference will be given a person having own two wheeler with valid driving license and can work in odd conditions of tribal area villages.
• Block Coordinator will be responsible to conduct and facilitate Care Giver Project activities in SHGs, Schools and Woman’s /Adolescent Girls Groups in villages of all allotted blocks.
• Provide regular handholding support to ASHAs/AWW/SHGs members and Qualified Rural Health Providers about Zinc-ORS based Diarrhoea treatment through meetings/IPC and workshops.
• Participate in appropriate forums at village and Block level meetings/Gram Sabha’s/ community events
• Liaise with senior government officials of ICDS, Health and Education department at Block level to log issues and concerns.
• Monitor the performance of Kala Pathak and VHSC trainings
• Work with Rural based qualified health provider to train them .
• Undertake daily field visits and report it electronically on CHAI format on weekly basis.
• Support / Assist the RCs in organizing monthly meetings.
• Compile case stories.
• Ensure timely submission of travel reports and other programmatic expenses.
• As and when required participate in activities related to monitoring, evaluation, documentation and research.
• Undertake all other activities as may be advised by the State Project Coordinator LEPRA India and Regional Coordinators LEPRA India and officials from donor agency.
• Block coordinators is mainly implement ORT-Zinc project activities at block level and responsible for timely reporting to SPC and RCs of LEPRA India.
• Block coordinator position is a full time job and there is no provision for BCs to assign any other part time work if it is found that BC involved in other work along with ORT-Zinc project then organization is free to take disciplinary action.

Qualification, Experience & Skills:

• Education: Graduate in Any discipline
• Minimum :1- 2 year’s relevant experience in Working with SHGs and Woman’s groups
• Excellent Communication skills & Team sprits
• Proficiency in English & Hindi (Drafting, presentation)
• Knowledge on systems: Ms-office, Internet usage.
• Willingness to travel within MP as and when required

Salary: Rs.13,000/- consolidated.

Position will be on contract basis for a fixed term.
