Location: Worli, Mumbai
The
Communication & Strategic Initiatives Department at CHILDLINE India
Foundation looks at a host of key objectives for the organization. This
includes content writing, brand building through campaigns etc, creating
publications, working with external creative groups, awareness on CHILDLINE
through various mediums, social media activities to enhance CHILDLINE’s reach
to online target groups etc. The person in this position will work closely with
other members of the Communication team including WebMaster of CIF website and Editor
of CIF’s House Journal.

Candidate must be:
- Female/Male
- Based in Mumbai. Outstation candidates will not be called for interviews.
- Post Graduate in Communications or any related field
- Possess strong communication skills (Oral/written) with a proficiency in English
- Have the ability to deliver creative material to tight deadlines
- Have the ability to successfully manage suppliers and work within budgets
- Competent in using social media
- Depth of knowledge of PowerPoint presentation and basic photo editing tools
- Passionate about the cause of children and an open attitude to learning
Job Responsibilities:
Plan and execute CHILDLINE India Foundation’s communication
strategy at the national and local level
- The Manager, Communications shall be responsible for planning and executing CHILDLINE’s web strategy, social media strategy and manage the annual communications calendar
- The Manager, Communications shall be responsible for liaisoning with CIF’s external creative partners
- The Manager, Communications shall be responsible for creating and building CIF’s communication campaigns
- The Manager, Communications shall be responsible for content development as and when required
- The Manager, Communications shall be responsible for the development and execution of CIF’s internal and external publications
- The Manager, Communications shall be responsible for building the CHILDLINE brand with external stakeholders
Key responsibilities
1. Planning and executing CHILDLINE’s web strategy, social
media strategy and manage the annual communications calendar
- Update various sections of the website by extracting data from different departments
- Take responsibility for executing CHILDLINE online strategy using facebook, twitter, website, blog, youtube etc
- Be up-to-date with the latest social media tools to enhance CIF’s online presence
- Create content and material as per CIF’s internal communication calendar
2. Liaisoning with CIF’s external creative partners
- Coordinate with creative groups, agencies and freelancers for CIF’s multimedia communication including CIF’s external Web site managers.
- To continually brief creative teams on the requirements for CIF’s
- Coordinate with printing vendors to ensure the best possible rates for all printing material
3. Creating and building CIF’s Communication campaigns
- Create and deliver timely campaigns using innovative methods and mediums
- Create content for every campaign
- Use all mediums (media, online platforms etc) to enhance the impact of the campaign
- Communicate and coordinate with all Regional Heads to ensure their involvement and participation in all campaigns
- Study successful campaigns in the development sector to ensure high quality delivery of creative output
4. Content development
- Update and write content for CHILDLINE’s website, blog, social media tools
- Coordinating with all Regional offices (Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai) to ensure updates from all regions for news and activities
- Create content as and when required for the media etc
5. Development and execution of CIF’s internal and external
publications
- Manage creation, production and execution of communication materials for all CHILDLINE Partners (Information & Educational Communication -IEC Material)
- Collate data and write content for CHILDLINE’s crucial publications- Annual Report, ChildNET and newsletters
- Ensure creation and timely delivery of all CIF’s publications
- Scan media coverage of competition to better plan CIF’s media strategy
6. Building the CHILDLINE brand with external stakeholders
- Liaise with journalist to ensure CHILDLINE’s strategic presence in the media
- Maintain and update a media list
Education
Post
graduate degree/diploma in marketing and communications
Experience
Minimum
of 3-4 years of professional experience in advertising, marketing, corporate
communications team at a corporate house or within the social sector.
Required skills and competencies

Good
written and oral communication skills in addition to the ability to think
critically

Well
versed in content writing, power point presentation and social media
·
Experience
in maintaining relations with the media and other key personnel
Compensation
Candidates working in business sector please note that the
Development sector compensation levels are significantly lower than that in the
business sector. Please do not apply if you expect compensations to exceed
those that you get in the business sector. However the range of Communication
work/experience that the position offers is very vast and there is a real
opportunity to use Communication skills for the cause of Child Protection.
The gross compensation offered will be in the range of Rs.
4-4.50 lacs per annum and depends upon qualifications and experience.
