Title: Sponsor Relations Officer

Division/Department: Sponsor Relations

Reporting Relationship: Zonal Manager


The position is responsible for consolidating of sponsorship data as mentioned below; additionally the job entails coordinating key activities in the sponsorship function in terms of LINCS & SRIS data base management, while maintaining corporate status on SR systems, files and backup of critical information at the National Office.


  • Conducts partner visits to provide support, guidance, training and monitoring of sponsor relations activities
  • Generates sponsor awareness to improve child-sponsor relations.
  • Ensures that zonal staff are trained in and fully understand internal SR operational policies and procedures
  • Ensures that all sponsorship requirements are met and structured quality improvement efforts are taking place. 
  • Compiles and monitors the SR activities at partner level and reports the same to NO through the Zonal Manager.
  • Ensures SRIS is updated on a regular basis and reports are generated accurately by the partners.
  • Ensure SRIS backups are sent by the partners regularly with complete data.
  • Generation of master list for child verification and overlook the process.
  • Consolidated child verification report to be shared with National office through the Zonal Manager
  • RAM receiving and follow up
  • Monitor the process of DFC disbursement by the partners and ensure that the amounts are deposited in the accounts of children. To monitor proper utilization of amount by the child/family and make sure that the money is spent for the specified purposes.
  • Area demography and achievements to be documented and shared with the Zonal Manager on a quarterly basis
  • Ensure maintenance [entering and updation of data] of family service dairy [FSD] at child/family level. Generate benefit tracking report of children to be sent to NO on a quarterly basis.
  • To guide the partners with regard to children above 19yrs. Update their status and report to NO
  • Ensure child participation activities are conducted at regular intervals and report to NO with photographs, every quarter
  • Ensure proper implementation of PDD4 activities relating to children at partner under the guidance of Zonal Manager and send report to NO with photos
  • Make sure that following activities - wall magazine, creative letter writing, issue based letter writing and letter writing within unsponsored children are done regularly at the partner level. Quarterly report with pictures and testimonials to be sent to NO.
  •  Ensures the optimal participation of families with children enrolled in ChildFund India
  • Ensures that the children/youth clubs function effectively in accordance with ChildFund India policies and procedures.
  • Timely village and family visits for quality sponsorship communication. Devise a plan for home visits and visits during CVS and CPR’s is a must.
  •  Any other tasks that are assigned from time to time by the Zonal Manager
  • A Bachelor’s degree in any development discipline. A Master’s degree would be an advantage
  • Excellent computer skills (Windows environment)
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a progressive INGO/NGO environment with an mix of field and sponsorship systems
  • Speaking, reading and writing of at least one local language would be an advantage.  Willingness to learn other languages/dialects desirable.
