Project Brief: PIPPSE
The
HIV/AIDS Partnership: Impact through Prevention, Private Sector and Evidence-
abased Programming (PIPPSE) Project will be managed by a Consortium, led by
PHFI as the Principal Recipient and, Futures Group and Population Services
International (PSI), as Sub Recipients. The PIPPSE Project aims to
"strengthen the institutional and human capacity in prevention programs
and private sector engagement through innovative approaches to contribute to
achieving the goal of accelerating the reversal Of HIV epidemic at the national
and state levels. In order to achieve these goals, there is a need to develop a
complete web-based system to track patients and service delivery. The overall
scope will be to develop a system where patients can be tracked using a
tracking number in terms of clinics they visit, care they receive, drugs
received etc. The system will be able to generate reports on usage statistics,
patient wise information, facility wise information, care giver wise
information etc. The software along with the web-based reporting platform will
also be augmented with SMS based operations, and Android based operations.
Job Description:
- Collation, compilation and analysis of data from Thane district level received at District AIDS Prevention Control Unit (DAPCU)
- To communicate with partners (DPO, M&E Officer, MSACS) for various purposes: non-reporting units, errors in report, etc.
- To support DAPCU-Thane for timely submission of the Monthly Reports
- Provide time to time update to District Program Manager, M&E Officer, MSACS officials and PIPPSE team on HIV program performance, program data analysis and share feedback
- To strengthen DAPCU in data management
- Participate in the review meetings, joint visits/ review, trainings and workshops
- To support District in Needs Assessment and field visits
- To participate in Monthly/ Quarterly MIS Reviews/ workshops & provide feedback to NGOs
- To support and participate in Technical Audit & DQA, as and when required
- Assist & conduct sessions in various MIS related trainings
- Involve in Pre-Transition and Post-Transition assessment of TI NGOs from PIPPSE project and Annual evaluation of HIV health facilities
- Undertake field visits for monitoring, evaluation activities & Data Quality Assurance (DQA)
- Any other additional work as directed by Reporting Officer / Team Leader
Qualification,
Competencies / Skills required
- Post – Graduate in Statistics/ Biostatistics
- High level of computer proficiency with specific familiarity with commonly used Windows, MS Office software and software packages
- Fluency in English, Marathi and Hindi
- Knowledge of public health perspective and HIV/AIDS in particular will be desirable
- Course/ certificate in Statistics, Bio-stats, analytical software like SPSS, SAS
- Should have minimum of 1-3 years’ work experience in social sector
- Work experience in HIV/ AIDS field is desirable
- Effective Communication skills
- Good Interpersonal skills:
- Ability to work in cross cultural teams
- Ability to effectively lead and mentor the team:
- Ability to manage the team’s performance
