Indo-Global Social Service Society, established in 1961, is a National Development Organization having presence in many states of India and works on the theme of “Empowerment” in the following core areas: Sustainable Livelihood, Youth development, Urban Poverty, Gender, Developing a cadre of leaders and Disaster Risk Reduction.

IGSSS invites applications for the full time position of Officer-Gender in our Head Office, New Delhi.

Job Responsibilities:

•Provide strategic support in areas of planning, timely implementation and monitoring for direct and partner implementation projects,aimed at realizing gender equity in all programmes and processes of IGSSS
•Capacity building and mainstreaming of gender programmes within IGSSS and its partners
•To explore intersectionalities between thematic areas of work that facilitates the overall mainstreaming of gender in the organisation
•To undertake participatory researches/build evidence in the thematic area of gender that feeds into programme/advocacy interventions of the organisation
•To facilitate the building of capacities on gender at the three levels of community, organisation and the partners worked with

Core competencies required:

•Must have conceptual knowledge on issues of gender.
•Must have clear understanding and knowledge on project planning and management, monitoring and evaluation.
•Experience in developing concept notes, proposals.
•Experience in handling strategic relationships with stakeholders such as donors, partner organizations, government/s. 
•Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
•Excellent communication (both oral and written) and documentation skills.
•Willingness to travel is a must.

Qualifications and experience:

•Post graduate in the field of Development preferably in Social Sciences.
•3-5 years of experience in working in the area of gender.
