Brief on the Organization:

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India.

It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centres of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. PHFI is looking for a Financial Controller Level position at its office at Gurgaon to oversee the accounting, audit, treasury and compliances of the institution within ERP environment.

Job Description
The Financial Controller oversees the day to day activities of the finance team and ensures the companies finance function is organized and efficient and produces accurate financial and management accounts.

Position will report to The Director Finance.

Deliverables:
• Management of the finance function and overseeing the institutional finance team.
• Work closely with Grants Finance team and ensure smooth workflow resolution between both the teams.
• Preparation of institutional budgets, forecasts and cash flows and act as its custodian for routine fund clearances and approvals.
• Maintenance of ERP based (Oracle) financial ledgers and accounting processes
• Preparation of Monthly Consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement.
• Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports.
• Achieve timely audits i.e. internal, external, grants audit, tax etc., on need based basis.
• Cash management and treasury duties.
• Financial management of the assets of the organization including Fixed Assets and transactions related to capitalization of integrated assets.
• Ensure adequate insurance coverage for the assets and the programs.
• Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.
• Timely Preparation, issuance, submission of various certificates and returns under Income Tax, Service Tax, FCRA.

Qualification & Experience: 
• Fully qualified ACA /CIMA (or equivalent) with previous financial control and management reporting experience in large organizations. Applicants should have at least 15 years of post-qualification experience.
• Proficient knowledge of Indian GAAP and compliance laws like Income Tax, Service Tax, FCRA including DTAAs is a requirement.
• You will be able to demonstrate your experience of managing about 15 member accounting team
• The candidate should be confident, a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment with excellent communication skills.
• You must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, and a hands on approach
• Computer literate with good excel skills and database management and solid understanding of ERP work flows.

Salary:
Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process.
