Documentation Officer (RDO), Jagran Pehel, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh
2. BACKGROUND:
Jagran Pehel a division of Sri Puranchandra Gupta
Smarak Trust and an initiative of Jagran Prakashan Limited*,
is actively involved in awareness generation targeted at behavioral change and
advocacy on social issues, through the innovative use of mass and mid
media approaches and stimulating interpersonal communication.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Chairperson, the Research
and Documentation Officer (RDO) shall be ensuring that knowledge and
evidence from the project are effectively gathered, documented and
disseminated.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Prepare research articles, project reports,
activity reports, presentations and visibility documents;
(2) Regularly update project achievements, document lesson learned and develop success stories;
(3) Analyze, synthesize, compile, document and disseminate findings in a form which is publishable, easily understood and suitable for widespread circulation;
(4) Develop effective power point presentations, pamphlets and briefs about Jagran Pehel, as requested;
(5) Help formulate and implement research studies on thematic issues, relating to different programme;
(6) Support the establishment and nurturing of various knowledge sharing platforms and tools, including workshops, one-on-one interactions and case studies;
(7) Develop and deploy innovative methods of knowledge sharing, both across the organization and externally;
(8) Identify and contribute to external communication opportunities, which may include making presentations at conferences, participating in networks and representing the organization at various fora and meetings;
(9) Provide editorial support for ensuring high quality of project documents/deliverables in alignment withJagran Pehel’s branding requirements;
(10) Review, edit and finalize documents.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
Applicant must possess a Masters in Social Science, Social Work, Rural Development Sustainable Development, Public Health, Development Studies, International Relations or equivalent.

Experience:
(1) Minimum of five years experience in the development sector, with at least four years in knowledge management;
(2) Prior exposure to strategizing social interventions, organization building, human resource development and financial management, is desirable.
Skills:
(1) Good English writing, communication and documentation skills;
(2) Understanding and knowledge of CSR;
(3) Understanding of social sector/ social issues;
(4) Proficiency in analysis and report writing;
(5) Strong interpersonal skills, with customer focus and responsiveness;
(6) Proficiency in using computers, including standard MS Office applications and other statistical packages.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Gross compensation for the position shall be
attractive. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with
