Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND) is a leading non-for-profit organization based in Geneva, Switzerland, dedicated to developing diagnostics for poverty­ related infectious diseases.
FIND is headquartered in Geneva and currently represented in India through a Liaison Office in Delhi and recently registered as a not-for Profit Company under section 8 of the Companies Act in India. FIND facilitates the development and implementation of diagnostic tools for poverty-related diseases. The foundation is presently engaged in the development of new diagnostic techniques for TB, HIV, Hepatitis C, Malaria and neglected tropical disease), across the world and specifically for MDR-TB in India

About Project;
FIND’s Access programme aims to support rapid translation of global policy into relevant and actionable country plans, enable quality-assured scale up and use of proven diagnostic solutions, and support the creation of long-lasting, broad diagnostic capacity as the centre-piece of disease control. In India, FIND has received USAID funding to work on addressing issues around the diagnosis of children in urban settings in India to perform the activities for this project. FIND needs to engage the services of consultants who have the expertise required to build a strong technical team to support this project;

Responsibilities and Tasks
Under the overall supervision and technical guidance of the Project leader, CBNAAT Project, FIND India, the Project coordinator, shall undertake the following tasks:
1.    Provide technical support to FIND India project sites for planning and implementation of CBNAAT project development;
2.    Assist the Project leader in the development of training materials, job aids, recording and reporting formats, and other project related documents;
3.    Assist the project leader in building capacity of the project sites for the implementation of CBNAAT project;
4.    Assist project leader in coordinating with project sites for issues related to reviews, reporting, etc;
5.    Assist project leader in supervision and monitoring of the CBNAAT project;
6.    Visit at least 3 project sites every month for supervision and monitoring of the project;
7.    Supervise and ensure the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for TB laboratories, including SOPs for specific aspects CBNAAT and ZN Microscopy, infection control, etc, to ensure GLP;
8.    Supervise and ensure that the CBNAAT lab staff conduct testing of patient specimen on CBNAAT and by ZN smear microscopy in a timely manner;
9.    Ensure that the all test results are communicated to the providers, TB HVs, STS and diagnosed TB patients on the same day;
10.  Assist the district staff in ensuring that all TB patients diagnosed under the project are initiated on treatment in a timely manner;
11.  In close coordination with project site staff in preparation of Monthly and Quarterly Reports on as per the project SOP and their submission to the DTO and Project leader;
12.  Perform other duties as assigned by the project leader.

Essential Qualification, Skills and Experience:
1.    Applicants must possess MBBS degree
2.    At least five years of experience in the field of public health;
3.    At least two years familiarity with the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis and work experience under the RNTCP
4.    Demonstrated effectiveness as a supervisor and/or trainer of health programmes;
5.    Computer literacy viz. familiarity with word processing and other standard applications;
6.    Thorough knowledge of RNTCP is essential.
Desirable: Post-graduate degree in public health/microbiology/Tuberculosis
Age limit: Should be below 45 years of age
Location                  
Flexible, can operate off-site; however, should be willing to travel to project sites and FIND India office in New Delhi for approx. 15 to 20 days per month.
Compensation offered:
FIND India is a progressive paymaster and endeavours to position itself at par with leading international non-profits working in the area of public health in India.
Gross compensation budgeted for the positions shall be in the range of INR 1, 50,000 to 1, 80, 000 per month. The selected candidates shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
Nature of Appointment:
The selected candidate shall be initially offered a consultancy contract until 30th September 2016; to be extended subject to project extension and fund availability.
