Summary:
The primary project strategy is to provide technical assistance to the
State and district to improve access to quality family planning services. The
provision of IUD has been identified as a major gap in FP services available in
India’s public health system. To address this gap the EAISI project will focus
on increasing access to high quality IUD services including postpartum IUD.
Job Summary:
Project Officer, Data management will be mainly responsible for collection,
entry, compilation, database maintenance, validation and analysis of project
data to show project’s achievement.
Responsibilities:
- Work in close coordination with project officers under the guidance of supervisor
- Support project officers in collection & entry of received data from the facilities
- Ensure quality data collection technique are established and used by all concerned project officers/field staff
- Compile, validate, evaluate and analyze the data on routine basis to improve its quality
- Troubleshoots data submission and data error issues
- Share findings of data on monthly basis to supervisor on time to minimize the errors
- Responsible to deliver quality data on time as per project’s requirement
- Visit at least once to the facility with District data entry operator or M&E person to strengthen his/her knowledge and skill about data management
- Establish close relation with M&E person of the district to strengthen Govt. mechanism of data collection, entry and compilation
- Support clusters for project activities(HDO, ASHA orientation, IP and SOJT) wherever required
- Provide district/zone wise analyzed report to the project staff as and when required
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual data reports or as per requirement
- Attend and participate in data related meetings of the office or in assigned zone
- Do other work as assigned by supervisor
KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Good knowledge of reproductive health; family planning; IUD - advantages, prevalent myths and misconceptions in community and how to overcome them
- Good knowledge on quality improvement and quality assurance of health services
- Strong communication, facilitation, liaison, and motivation skills
- Good training skills
- Ability to collect data; expertise in compilation; analysis of data and writing reports
- Computer skills - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Explorer
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel to peripheral health facilities and villages up to 75% of time
- Local candidate with own vehicle and willing to travel within a district will be preferred
