DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Sr.
Business Operations Manager/ Finance Manager, the Accounts
Specialist shall
be responsible for managing the overall financial transactions and accounting.
This shall include managing accounts receivable, accounts payables, general
ledger and bank reconciliations. This will also include providing support to
finance and admin team members and the organization at large as needed.
Key
Responsibilities:
(1)
Accounting and Book-keeping
(a) Manage all accounting and book keeping operations;
(b) Process, code, input and reconcile accounts receivable/ payables;
(c) Perform a variety of regular and recurring accounting functions;
(d) Petty cash Management;
(e) Reimbursements of claims to employees of the organization;
(f) Supporting payroll processes and payments.

Supporting Audit processes
(a) Prepare financial reports for the projects and management;
(b) Conduct month-end and year-end close process;
(c) Assist with the preparation of supporting annual audit work papers;
(d) Assist with internal audits of procedures throughout the organization.

(3) Taxes
accounting and reports generation
(a) Compute taxes and prepare tax returns/ certificates and send to vendors/ suppliers;
(b) Paying TDS and periodical filing of TDS returns;
(c) Communicate with staff regarding their requests and inquiries related to Tax information.

(a) Perform ad-hoc special projects as assigned from time to time;

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree and/ or Master Degree in Accounts or Finance.

Experience:
(a) Minimum of five to seven years’ related work experience required;
(b) Experience of working on Indian tax laws, FCRA regulation and any other compliance related issues, is essential;
(c) Proficient in accounting and database systems with experience in Quick Book and Tally accounting packages preferred;
(d) Experience of working with non-profit organisation and program – finance linkages documentation, will be an advantage;
(e) Must be skilled in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel;
(f) Fluency in English required;
(g) Willingness to travel for outdoors works and if necessary outstation travels.
