ORGANISATION BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected,
international, non-profit, that works in a number of countries across the
globe, predominantly in the area of infectious diseases. It has a sizeable
portfolio of projects in India pursuant to its growing focus on South Asia
during the past decade.
3. JOB
DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Country Head,
the Chief of Party, shall
coordinate and manage a large flagship health project in India relating to the
scale-up of HIV diagnosis and case management, in collaboration with multiple
international and local partner organizations.
Key Job
Responsibilities:
(1) Strategize policies and
guidelines for the project by closely collaborating with the Ministry of Health
and different stakeholders;
(2) Manage all in-country activities with a view to ensuring the achievement of project
deliverables within agreed timelines and budgets;
(3) Oversee laboratory trials to validate appropriate treatment regimens, including registration and coordination with partner laboratories
(4) Manage and ensure achievement of the project resource plan, ensuring procurement, budgeting and risk management in alignment with the country plan and in coordination with the top management team;
(5) Oversee all project related functions, including provision of guidance and mentoring inputs to the cross-functional project support team;
(6) Manage and document project progress in alignment with internal and donor requirements addressing project plans, grant reports, M&E reports etc.;
(7) Ensure excellent communication with project team members and different stakeholders;
(8) Coordinate stakeholder and partner meetings;
(9) Facilitate early resolution of all project issues.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
Applicants must have an MBBS
progressed by a post-graduate degree in public health and/or infectious
diseases. Candidates with an MPH shall be preferred.
Experience:
(1) Minimum five years of hands-on
experience in managing large, national, public health projects
(2) In-depth understanding of HIV case management in India
(3) Prior experience of directly working in collaboration with MoH;
(4) Excellent organizational skills with emphasis on managing conflicting priorities;
(5) Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills;
(6) Team player;
(7) Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Gross compensation for the position
shall be attractive. Please note that the offer shall be commensurate with the
qualifications, experience and salary history of the selected candidate.
