Reporting to the Director of IDEI, the Consultant MIS shall facilitate the management of information input and output and handle operational aspects of the organization-wide Management Information System (MIS), on proprietary software. The post-holder shall also ensure effective communication with various departments, to facilitate implementation of the MIS system.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
(1) Support the management and maintenance of computerized records;
(2) Administer the SQL database for Internal Online Software and provide support to MIS personnel at Regional Offices, for data capture, cleaning, validation and verification of the accuracy of information;
(3) Help manage input and output of data and ensure the provision if accurate and timely information, as necessary;
(4) Assist in the timely collection of program-related information including Customer/ Marketing/ Supply Chain/ Stock and/or other, relevant information from Regional Offices;
(5) Support and advise staff on methods for accessing information and facilitate in-house training to staff, in the use of MIS systems and other computerized systems, as appropriate;
(6) Advise the organization on all MIS matters, including different ways to capture relevant data;
(7) Help develop new information management systems, to respond to the changing needs of the organization;
(8) Help generate regular/ ad-hoc reports for management, for improved decision-making, including collation of information/ data, for impact assessment;
(9) Help in creating and providing multivariable reports (geography/ duration/ technology) to different departments, on a regular basis;
(10) Help in generating MIS data which is accurate and robust, ensuring that the reports produced are accessible to all staff;
(11) Support the conduct of internal and external audits, of the information system.
Applicants must be Graduates/ Post Graduates in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or the equivalent. Applicants with a Degree/ Diploma in Statistics, shall be preferred.
At least two to three years’ experience of managing an organization-wide MIS, for an institution having operations at multiple locations.
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Good presentation and interpersonal skills;
(2) Working knowledge of MS-SQL and C# in ASP.NET;
(3) Advance level MS Excel knowledge;
(4) Prior knowledge of GIS, ARCINFO and use of GPS.
The gross compensation for the position is Rs. 5 lakhs per annum.
