Muktangan is ranked as a Top 10 NGOs to work for in 2015 by the renowned “Great Places to Work@ India. Founded in 2003 as the sole project of Paragon Charitable Trust, it currently runs seven municipal schools (3200 students) and a Teacher Education Centre.  Muktangan trains local low-income, community members (mainly women) to implement its educational model within these mainstream schools. All the schools add a higher standard every year with its pilot school reaching standard X (final year Board Examination) in 2014. Its unique pedagogical philosophy, which is incorporated into both its school and teacher education programmes, is now ready for replication.

Muktangan researches and develops, through its community-based government schools, a pedagogical approach which operationalizes national policies. Its Resource Centre incorporates a Teacher Education Centre integrated into a School System, each strengthening the other, using a “Hub and Spokes” approach.

Job Title: Manager - Monitoring & Evaluation

Reporting to: Programme Head in the Region


Position Summary: This person will be central to the Monitoring and Evaluation system at the Regions. He/ she will consolidate, monitor progress achieved against pre-decided indicators pertaining to CRY objectives as part of CRY's M & E system. He/ she will generate disaggregated reports as required for various purposes. He/ She will have to liaise with internal and external stakeholders for data acquisition and will be the regional hub for all information related to impact. 


Key responsibilities:

1. Maintain the regional data based on Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) by following up with partners on data collected by them regarding MEAL
2. Generate reports from the MEAL, provide a disaggregated analysis of the data in terms of theme, state, age, gender, community etc.
3. Be the focal point for any data related to MEAL in the region for the queries from any other functions within CRY.
4. Provide periodic feedback to partners on the quality of data collected, timeliness of data collected as per MEAL guidelines.
