CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young
people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four
days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country
programs; or are visiting country programs; ore because they are responsible
for implementing the police checking/ vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:
The purpose of the role is to lead the global supply chain function
within Save the Children,to develop and deliver a new strategy. The roleholder will be required to increase
the capacity of supply chain operations ‘in-country’ and capability across
the organization. Upgrading our supply
chain for emergency humanitarian responses, and realizing optimal value for
money, have particular strategic importance.
This is a major change leadership challenge; reshaping a critical
function of the organization impacting staff and management at all levels,
within the function and outside.

rights. Joining us as a Financial Accountant (Payroll), you will provide
financial control and insight in support of our existing human rights activity
and an ambitious international growth project.
About the
role
Using your payroll and accounting knowledge, you will be
responsible for maintaining the payroll function of the IS including having
responsibility for all payroll tax matters, helping to develop the payroll
system for our new regional offices and posting the payroll journals. A
large part of this role will be liaising between the HR department, payroll
providers, finance team and overseas offices to ensure that payroll is
processed efficiently and consistently across the organisation. You will
also have an important role in performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
and month end closures as well as taking part in ad hoc project work to
maintain and improve financial controls across the organisation, and to provide
high quality information to senior managers and directors.
