Project Description: As part of our Capacity Building initiative, Drishtee Foundation has partnered with Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (Jeevika) for training and placement of 3000 rural poor youth in 6 districts of Bihar in next 3 years. The project seeks to identify, design and impart employability training to the target youth that equips them with skill sets to help earn sustainable livelihood by acquiring employment in the organized sector. The project is in align with Drishtee’s 4C (Community, Capacity, Credit and Channel) approach.

The centers will be based in 6 districts ( Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Begusarai, Khagaria and Purnia) of Bihar that will offer vocational training to rural youth in sectors like Agriculture & Food Processing, Textile & Garments, and Building & Construction.

Position Description:

Wealth Creation Project Coordinator - Heifer International (Apply by: February 29, 2016)

Job Description

Purpose/Function: 

The main purpose of the Wealth Creation Project Coordinator is to coordinate the implementation of the Wealth Creation project whose overall goal is to increase income and employment for smallholder farmers in Western Kenya. The role is responsible for the delivery of the project targeting working with 36 community groups in Homabay, Migori and Rachuonyo and 3 producer marketing hubs in Nambale, Khwisero and Ringo for a total of 8,250 households and 49,500 people. The project is implemented in partnership with Send a Cow who are the main implementing partner and the role involves a field coordination element with the partner that includes joint planning, review, implementation and reporting. The Project Coordinator coordinates the work of the for the project staff in the Homabay field office and the business team in the SAC-K Kakamega field office including coordinating all their inputs into the successful mobilization, training and capacity building of the target project beneficiaries. The Coordinator will liaise closely with the relevant government departments and extension personnel to coordinate extension support for the hubs and the community groups and also support the stimulation of private sector awareness and business linkages. The Coordinator undertake the coordination of the key project inputs including the procurement and delivery of livestock and other key project assets and subsequently monitoring the implementation of the passing on the gift process amongst the beneficiary groups. The Coordinator will also undertake field Monitoring and Evaluation activities including baseline data collection, regular monthly and quarterly project reporting and the final project evaluation.

Your Role:


• Contribute to enhancing the quality of programming across the regions by compiling and sharing the analysis of programme MIS in regular periodicity with the Programme Heads.
• In consultation with the Functional Director and the Programme Heads facilitate the development of programming framework for each of the goal areas defined by CRY;
• Facilitate synergies across the regions within the DS function towards ensuring programme cohesion across regions.
• Track the organizational progress towards goals against the milestones articulated under each goal and offer suggestions/recommendations for any course correction if required.
• Facilitate the rolling out of the Results Based Monitoring systems within CRY and help establish a robust monitoring and evaluation system for CRY.
• Maintain a national data base on critical indicators across goals and provide a national picture against these indicators with a view to helping the Function to develop programming strategy.
• With the support of the FD and inputs from the regions, drive the strategy process for the Development Support Function.
