The position

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for the day to day accounting functions, processing payments, recording transactions in the accounting system, dealing with third party payments, invoice processing, bank reconciliations and accuracy of national service company submissions. He/She will develop financial models for project appraisals and undertake post project implementation reviews.

Purpose of the position
: This is a senior finance position that will support the Head - Finance and Operations, USEA in directing and supervising day to day functioning of the Finance unit. This includes management and evaluation of financial systems within USEA projects to ensure program success and reviewing and managing grant budgets and fiscal reporting activities for the organisation. The Finance supervisor will be required to interact with donors and other internal / external stakeholders (including well established sub-recipient partners, auditors and finance consultants) tactfully.

SUMMARY
The operations manager will plan, direct and coordinate the operations of ChildFund in Afghanistan. S/He is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and functionality of organisational operations through the provision of effective business approaches and strategies.
S/He will manage the organisations HR, administration and security functions, assisting in the creation of organizational and program budgets in collaboration with the Program Director, IO and the National Director.
