TITLE: Director, Supply Chain
TEAM/PROGRAMME: Supply Chain	LOCATION: London
GRADE: TBC	CONTRACT LENGTH: Permanent
CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; ore because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/ vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE: The purpose of the role is to lead the global supply chain function within Save the Children,to develop and deliver a new strategy.  The roleholder will be required to increase the capacity of supply chain operations ‘in-country’ and capability across the organization.  Upgrading our supply chain for emergency humanitarian responses, and realizing optimal value for money, have particular strategic importance. This is a major change leadership challenge; reshaping a critical function of the organization impacting staff and management at all levels, within the function and outside.
