1. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

PRADAN is registered under the Societies Registration Act having its head office in New Delhi. Established in 1983 PRADAN aims to stimulate and enhance the sense of agency of collectives of poor people, especially women, which will lead to them occupying their space as equals in society and taking on responsibilities of citizenship. 

PRADAN is one of the largest NGOs in the country with ~400 professionals spread across 7 states (Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and West Bengal). More information about PRADAN is available at www.pradan.net 

PRADAN is in the process of rolling out its MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning) plan. After a successful pilot, the Tablet Based Data Collection System for regular monitoring is being rolled out throughout the organisation. The focus is on collection of complete quality data and continuous investment in improving systems and processes for data collection as well as capacity building of relevant people.
