3. PURPOSE OF THE POST:
The Child Health Nurse (CHN), shall be responsible to utilize her/ his nursing skills and knowledge to provide health education and support clinical functions in the clinics. In addition, S/he will be required to provide clinical services and health education in the schools, as required. The CHN shall get a chance to work in a unique clinic concept meant for children which will be operated by a dynamically growing company in the healthcare field.
This role shall be a regular day job with no night duties and encompasses an excellent training programme.
4. JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. School Duties: 
(1) Provide health education to parents and children as per their requirements;
(2) Attend School Health Checks in various schools and coordinate with the team for smooth functioning during the health checks;
(3) Check availability and proper functioning of all instruments and setting up things to facilitate proper arrangements in the room allocated by the school for the health checks.
B. Infirmary Duties:
(1) Provide first aid to the children in need;
(2) Assist the Resident Dentist in carrying out dental procedures and tele consult with Paediatricians or Medical Officers for any medical guidance;
(3) Carry out sterilization of dental and medical instruments in the Medical room/Clinic;
(4) Maintain cleanliness of all instruments and entire premises inside the Medical Room with the help of housekeeping staff;
(5) Take accountability and responsibility of all the inventory at the medical room;
(6) Liaise with the school coordinator in calling children for Health Check-ups and dental procedures and maintain a good rapport with all the school staff;
(7) Maintain records of all incoming/regular stocks and report to Manager School Operations/Clinic Operations in case of missing of any items from medical room;
(8) Maintain records of children treated at the medical room, in the registers provided and in the online system;
(9) Attend School Health Programmes in any of the partner schools and work in the clinic when the schools are on Vacation/Holidays;
(10) Ensure proper disposal of Bio Medical wastes.
5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification: 
(1) Applicants must have a Bachelor of Nursing or ANM or GNM;
Experience:
(1) At least one year of relevant work experience, preferably in child health. Freshers with excellent communication shall also be considered;
(2) Experience in paediatric nursing shall be an asset;
(3) Familiarity with Delhi/ NCR, including knowledge of different localities, shall be helpful.
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Clinical Skills – The applicant should be competent in general nursing and medical case management, including history taking skills, experience with common conditions, pleasant bedside manner and working knowledge of common clinical procedures;
(2) Candidates must be good at building rapport with people;
(3) Should demonstrate good communication and analytical skills;
(4) Keen to learn, sincere, with the ability to adapt and take on new tasks
(5) Demonstrated ability to use regular internet and should be conversant with Microsoft Office;
(6) Working knowledge of computers, laptops, touch-screen tablets shall be an asset;
(7) Should possess commitment to the cause of childrens’ health and increased awareness in the community;
(8) Demonstrated ability to adapt and take on new tasks;
(9) Ability to work hard, flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel will be appreciated.
6. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history
