Job Summary

Contribute in organisation’s strategy in diversifying and expanding its work in India through research, presentation and proposal writing. The position directly reports to Head – programs but is required to work in close coordination with communications and resource mobilization teams in India and UK.

Key Responsibilities 

• Proactively engage in primary and secondary research and documentation on target and relevant issues on child rights for project expansion and diversification.
• Conduct research and identification of new projects and /or organisations, carry out need assessment, due diligence and support in formalizing partnerships.
• Develop customized quality project proposals with Logical Framework Approach matrix and budgets.
• Coordinate with staff in India and UK to disseminate projects results and achievements.
• Conduct and coordinate trainings for partners in child rights, program management, proposal development, child participation
• Prepare training manuals for different community stakeholders
• Build organizational knowledge and visibility through participation in relevant forums, associations, groups of individuals and organizations.
• Support in developing awareness material, training manuals and reference material for sensitising internal and external project stakeholders.
• Analyse MIS and present results for presentations, reports and proposals.
• Provide support to Resource mobilisation and Communications teams, in particular on institution/ corporate funding, Newsletter, Annual Review and Website and media events
• Prepare presentations and high quality reports on programs for national and international stakeholders.



Requisite Qualification and Experience

• Graduates/ post graduates in any field with atleast 3 year experience in research, trainings and proposal writing
• Good understanding/ knowledge of issues on child rights, education and the RTE Act, highly desirable.
• In-depth understanding on Logical Framework Approach and budgets
• Exposure of developing high quality communication material for different stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills in both Hindi and English
• Proficient with basic computer programs including all applications of MS Office, corel draw and web development

Job Summary
Actively support programs department in ensuring project activities are carried out in line with the project plans and budgets. The position reports to Head – programs but is required to work in close coordination with team members and key, field staff with project partners.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct and document result-based research to support project planning, design and execution. 
• Actively support in implementation and monitoring of project activities. 
• Coordinate with partners on their activities and ensure that projects are in line with the action plan and planned outputs. 
• Conduct field visits, develop relation with community groups, individuals engaged in supporting project.

Qualifications, Experience and competencies required:

  • Post Graduation/ Graduation (preferably Mass Comm.) with minimum 2 yrs experience in content/ creative writing.

  • Candidate with prior experience in Climate Change/ Environmental communications and content development would be preferred. Technical writing experience is an added advantage.

  • Excellent command over English (both spoken and written). Ability to speak and understand Hindi is desirable

  • Experience of basic desktop publishing tools and working knowledge of productions of various mediums and technologies.

  • Knowledge of photo editing softwares is essential.

The Job Profile:
  • Develop a Programme Calendar in consultation with various user agencies and in consonance with the overall programme objectives of TRAFFIC India.
  • Design and develop course modules as per assessed requirements of various user agencies and coordinate with them as well as with departments and NGOs/NGIs for conducting such programmes.
  • Maintain implementation schedules and obtain necessary technical and communication clearance from TRAFFIC International for the final reports of such projects.
  • Undertake project technical reporting as mandated by the donors for delivery of the programmes.
  • Support the Head -TRAFFIC in preparing technical and financial progress reports on project(s) for donors and other agencies.
  • Work closely with Communications Officer for all project publications and related communication material.
Qualifications, Experience and competencies required:
  • A Masters degree in Environmental Sciences/ Social Sciences/Development Studies/related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years experience in programme development with focus on conservation of wildlife and nature, with at least two years in a senior role.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current issues in wildlife conservation, especially on illegal wildlife trade is desirable. 
  • Excellent skills in project coordination, grant/budget management and technical reporting.
  • Ability to multi-task and to work in a team-oriented, multi-cultural environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills, particularly in English.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES: 
WISH requests applications from outstanding professionals for the post of Finance and AdministrationSpecialist (FAS). This is a key strategic position, reporting to the CEO, with independent responsibility for financial management, statutory compliances, operations including partner assessment and administration and HR operations. The incumbent shall additionally be responsible for the effective and efficient discharge of all accounting activities at the head office in New Delhi, as well as all regional offices.

Key Responsibilities:

(A) Financial Management

(1) Ensuring compliance with the financial policies and procedures of the Foundation;
(2) Establishing and maintaining financial management mechanisms to reduce financial risk;
(3) Implementing controls, particularly with respect to expenses, cash advances, etc;
(4) Ensuring the efficient functioning of financial systems;
(5) Managing procedures relating to bank accounts, investments, taxation and all mandatory provisions;
(6) Ensuring timely filing of Income Tax, TDS, PF and FCRA returns.

(B) Financial Reporting

(1) Producing accurate financial reports adhering to prescribed deadlines;
(2) Preparing monthly, consolidated financial management reports for the CEO and quarterly financial reports for trustees, CEO and donors;
(3) Reviewing day to day accounts and preparing monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasts;
(4) Ensuring compliance with all donor financial reporting requirements.

(C) Budget Development and Tracking

(1) Collaborating with other departments to develop annual budgets, as well as cash flow projections for the year;
(2) Planning, preparing and reviewing annual budgets for approval by the Board of Directors;
(3) Ensuring timely submission of annual and reforecast budgets;
(4) Monitoring the budget and producing monthly variance reports for the CEO and the Chairman;
(5) Monitoring expenditures and costs against planned and delivered targets.

(D) Financial Audits

(1) Facilitating annual external audits, internal audits and FCRA audit;
(2) Cooperating with the auditors to implement recommendations for improvement to financial management systems;  
(3) Ensuring that all items from the auditor’s management report are addressed before the next audit.

(E) Grants, Debt and Equity

(1) Identifying eligible organizations for grants based on pre-determined criteria and assessment of the credibility of the organizations and proposed programs;
(2) Developing and administering comprehensive sub-grant and equity agreements for multiple partners, with stipulated financial and programmatic terms and conditions;
(3) Developing and maintaining program’s grants management system to track contractual obligations and advising on issues relating to general compliance and implementation;
(4) Instituting a system to monitor sub-grant expenditures against partner budgets;
(5) Applying for and maintaining grants received from multilateral and donor agencies.

(F) Investment Planning

(1) Ensuring prudent investment of funds as per the policies of the organization.

(G) Legal and Contractual Requirements

(1) Liaising with tax advisors, legal advisors and auditors;
(2) Preparing MOUs and contract letters for service providers and legal advisors;
(3) Ensuring validation of partners and Innovators who are being funded;
(4) Vetting and preparing MOUs with partners, innovators and donors.

(H)  Monitoring and Capacity-building of Partners

(1) Ensuring regular and ongoing partner monitoring to ensure quality;
(2) Developing sound financial monitoring tools;
(3) Capacity building of partners in financial management, preparing budgets and monitoring financial progress of the project.

(I) Administration

(1) Deciding pay fixation and issuing letters to new appointees in consultation with the CEO;
(2) Ensuring vendor selection, purchase of assets, insurance and work relating to office premises/ building in conformity with processes and procedures prescribed the organization;
(3) Managing logistics, procurement, rent, maintenance and transport related activities;
(4) Ensuring proper up-keep of all IT and other machines;
(5) Creating and updating the staff manual, as per the requirements of the Foundation;
(6) Updating the Business Continuity Plan;     
(7) Overseeing the logistics and administration requirements of all official visitors, including advising international visitors on applicable visa requirements.

(J) Human Resources

(1) Developing policies for talent acquisition and development through appropriate internal processes;
(2) Leading the process of drafting and finalizing systems and procedures to effectively implement the above policies;
(3) Working with the management team and staff to create a culture in which available talent remains engaged and is "harvested" to further the goals of the organization and its continuous growth;
(4) Providing trouble shooting support to line managers as required.
Any other reasonable duty as may be assigned, that is consistent with the nature of the job and the level of responsibility.

4. QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: 
Qualification:

(1) Applicants should be Chartered Accountants from a reputed institute;
(2) Additional qualifications in the field of Law or Company Secretaryship, shall be an asset.

Experience:

(1)Minimum eight years of substantial experience in finance and administration (HR is a plus), covering strategic planning, cost management, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, and internal and external audit, with sufficient exposure to professionally run non-profit organizations;
(2) Experience of grant management, reporting to and negotiating with donors, banks and financial institutions; 
(3) Experience of working on sub grants and ensuring their monitoring, reporting and closure;
(4) Knowledge of labour laws, legal issues around personnel, real estate, operations and logistics.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

WISH is looking for a senior fundraising professional for the post of Resource Mobilization Specialist (RMS). The RMS shall work closely with the CEO to implement the resource mobilization strategy. TheRMS shall be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to secure grants from donors, contribute to the growth and scaling-up of WISH programs and enable the organization to fulfil its mission. The RMS should have the ability to write proposals independently for generating funds amounting to approx. $ 3-5 milion per annum, and pursue long-term organizational sustainability through funding partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Researching and identifying potential funding opportunities from various donor segments;
(2) Developing and operationalizing a strategy for donor acquisition and retention;
(3) Writing customized concept notes, project ideas and project proposals, and ensuring their timely submission;
(4) The RMS should have the ability to quickly understand the projects undertaken by the organization and adapt/ customize the same to the donors’ mandate;
(5) Undertaking online research and building contacts with potential Government/ Corporate/ PSUs and Institutional Donor organizations to raise funds for the various projects of the organization;
(6) Compiling and maintaining a database of international and local donor organizations (international foundations, bilateral and multilateral agencies and private corporations offering donations);
(7) Identifying key persons from the donor organizations and reaching out to them through various communication channels;
(8) Regularly monitoring donor websites and identifying donor opportunities for the organization;
(9) Undertaking independent research in finding alternative resources for long-term sustainability of the organization;

(12) Setting-up and leading the resource mobilization team with clear and defined goals; monitoring and tracking team performance on a monthly basis; providing performance updates to the CEO and facilitating regular training of the team for skill-set enhancement;

4. QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification:

Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Management, Commerce, Social Sciences, or any other related field, from a reputed institute.

Experience:

(1) Minimum 8-10 years experience in fund raising/ business development/ resource mobilization;
(2) Proven track record of establishing high value partnerships;
(3) Experience of networking, negotiating and influencing, at a senior level and with high profile clients;
(4) Good knowledge of the social development sector;
(5) Well versed with grant-making systems and procedures of donor and multilateral agencies.

Skills:

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Program Manager will report directly to the SightLife Country Director, India and work collaboratively with key global SightLife staff and subject matter experts, to build and manage SightLife partners and programs in India.

The role is best suited for individuals who wish to transition their corporate backgrounds to now address a significant social problem. The current team of  managers includes people from IIT, ISB, Cornell, John Hopkins, Duke University etc.

The role will address development needs of SightLife partners in India in such areas as leadership, performance management, web-based IT systems, business management, and similar development courses. This position will also primarily act as a facilitator/ trainer for various training and development courses in addition to professional and leadership training programs, with an emphasis on in-class training.

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Manage and oversee all program responsibilities with multiple SightLife Eye Bank Partners to ensure success;
(a) Engage eye bank partners with on-going capacity building consulting in all key areas (finance, operations, human resources, board governance, etc) necessary to create a sustainable organization and enable scalability in performance;
(b) Organize periodic reviews, mentoring, consulting, site visits, and tracking of key performance metrics. Ensure communication with all partners and perform all required SightLife project management functions related to these partnerships; (c) Provide mentoring, on-site training and coaching to all staff requiring professional development;
(2) Use analytics, statistics, metrics and trends to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and sustain the momentum around leadership development efforts;
(3) Provide tactical and strategic feedback and development support to key program platforms, includingSightLife Academy and the SightLife Management System;
(4) Provide in-classroom training on all operational and leadership topics;
(5) Support expansion of SightLife presence in India, including identifying and establishing new relationships with leading eye banks;
(6) Perform all other functions required to assure the success of SightLife and its overall mission ofSightLife.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:        

Qualification:

Minimum a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Public Health (MPH)or  any other related professional qualification from a top notch, premier institute.

Experience:

(1) Minimum 5 years of progressive consulting and/or program management experience including gap analysis, problem solving, project development, implementation, and monitoring and performance evaluation;
(2) Experience of consulting with management on leadership and/or management development programs;
(2) Prior experience in providing training with particular emphasis in designing and delivering Soft Skills training (i.e., coaching, interpersonal communication, Conflict Management, Leadership Development);
(4) Minimum five years of progressive experience in building successful customer relations, and developing high performance teams. 

Skills and Attributes:

(1) Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi and knowledge of a third language is a plus; Exceptional verbal, written, analytical, presentation, customer service and interpersonal skills;
(2) Competency in building relationships and alliances across diverse organizations;
