2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

Established in 2003 by University of Manitoba (UM), as part of a five-year (2001 to 2006) bilateral development project between Canada and India and registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 1976 in 2009, aims at improving public health initiatives by supporting programs nationally and globally through providing comprehensive technical assistance in program planning, management and monitoring.

India Health Action Trust (IHAT) has been providing comprehensive technical assistance and training in programme planning and management to the State AIDS Control Societies of Karnataka, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Bihar, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Goa.

IHAT has set up a Technical Support Unit (TSU) for the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2013, to provide integrated and embedded techno-managerial support to strengthen existing health system for achieving sustained health outcomes at scale. IHAT focuses on improving the coverage of key RMNCHA+, Nutrition, Family Planning, Pneumonia and Diarrhea interventions and services in the state from the funding support of Bill & Melinda Gate Foundation (BMGF), Central and State government.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Specialist- ICT (Manav Sampada), the Technical Associate shall be responsible for the following:

1) Involve in development of new projects;
2) Involve in maintenance of existing projects as and when required;
3) Preparation of reports and monitoring of the implemented systems on a regular basis;
4) Fetching data and sharing as and when required within restrictive timelines;
5) Coordination with other department in order to implement and support the project.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification:
(1) Applicant must be a Graduate in Engineering (Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical, Electronics & Communications) from a recognized University;
(2) Applicant with Master’s in Computers/ Computer Application shall be preferred.

Experience:
(1) Applicant must have at least two years of experience in the same field;
(2) Experience of working in the development sector shall be desirable;
(3) Well versed in DOTNET; Should have thorough programming knowledge in MVC and SQL Server;
(4) Knowledge of the scripting languages like jQuery, JavaScript, html5, CSS, AngularJS and Bootstrap programming.

Skills and Competencies:
(1) Experience in working with the government projects or with NIC in the health sector;
(2) Experience in developing designing and implementing solutions on Web applications;
(3) Understanding customization and performing changes through Change Request;
(4) Sound knowledge on local market condition and vendor networking;
(5) Experience with mentoring, team building and facilitation approaches;
(6) Demonstrated cross-cultural, teamwork skills and ability to foresee issues and initiate appropriate action.

Gross compensation for the position shall be attractive. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary history, of the selected candidate.
