Project Manager - LEPRA Society (Apply by: October 05, 2015)


LEPRA Society is a pan-India health and development organization working to restore health, hope and dignity to people affected by leprosy and other diseases linked to poverty, discrimination and disability. LEPRA endeavours to diagnose, facilitate treatment to those affected and help them to rehabilitate into the mainstream of the society. LEPRA works in collaboration with the Government and funding agencies to reach-out to the most inaccessible villages of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh states.

LEPRA Society in partnership with LEPRA UK, is implementing a project for people living with leprosy and Lymphatic Filariasis (LF) in seven blocks of Puri and Nayagarh District of Odisha State. The project aims to establish an integrated approach to the care and support of people living with leprosy and LF. It will enable its beneficiaries to lead healthier and self-sufficient lives through an integrated approach tackling the health issues, obstacles to income generation and stigma associated with leprosy and LF. 

LEPRA Society is looking for committed and suitable candidate for the following positions to implement the above project. The project is for a period of 3 years commencing on 1st October, 2015. All positions are for immediate employment.

Project Manager (One position) 
Location: Puri District, Odisha


S/he will be responsible for the project implementation as per project objectives. Oversee project deliverables, consolidation of reports, maintain MIS, monitoring & report the progress. S/he will be responsible for management of Human Recourses, Finances, network and liaison with Government and stake holders.Candidate should have excellent team management skills. The incumbent shall report to the Programme Coordinator.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Master’s Degree in Health Management/Social Sciences/Social Work from a reputed university.
• Managerial experience in working for national public health programmes. Good understanding of General Health Systems, NHM and Neglected Tropical Diseases.
• Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in project management; capacity building monitoring programme performance and donor compliance.
• Proficiency in English and local language.

Salary: INR 45,000/- per month.
