1. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
Tata Trusts seeks to be

Livelihoods & Poverty, Education, Enhancing Civil Society and Governance,

2. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Consultant- Health and Nutrition will be responsible for developing,
planning, managing and monitoring ongoing and upcoming projects of the Trusts for the Health and Nutrition Program
in Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, s/he will work closely with the government
system and partners/ stakeholders, to ensure the achievement of program goals
and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Developing short term and long term program strategies in partnership with a range of actors;
(2) Developing and executing integrated health and nutrition programming;
(3) Monitoring actual program achievements against goals and handholding implementation of project activities and interventions;
(4) Actively collaborating with Government to ensure achievement of programmatic goals;
(5) Engaging stakeholders, both Governmental and Non-Governmental and the community, for programmatic strengthening and policy and advocacy;
(6) Collaborating with relevant stakeholders inside and outside the Trusts to churn out communication materials, policy briefs and best practices documents, pertaining to the Health and Nutrition program in MP;
(7) Providing expert public health advice and leadership to support and inform an evidence-based approach across primary, secondary and tertiary health care projects.
3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Required and desired competencies:
(1) Applicants must have a doctoral or postgraduate degree in
Public Health or Nutrition, or be a trained Medical Professional, with extensive
Public Health experience;
(2) Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Hindi;
(3) A minimum of 8 years of work experience in Public Health, with demonstrated leadership experience in managing health programs;
(4) Good IT skills (MS Office);
(5) Analytical skills to work with large budgets, MIS and undertake basic MS Excel modelling;
(6) A penchant for multi-tasking and ability to work in a demanding, low-resource rural community setting;
(7) An interest in health issues, policies and programs and a conviction to make a difference.
Note: The post holder must be willing to undertake extensive travel of around 10-15 days every month.

4. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross remuneration budgeted for the position is attractive.
Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary
history, of the selected candidate.
5. NATURE OF APPOINTMENT:
The successful candidate shall be employed on a contractual basis
and shall be extended subject to satisfactory performance.
