3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Sr. Business Operations Manager / Finance Manager, the Project Accountant shall be responsible for managing the partner projects finance including verifications of project expenses, budget control, facilitating fund request, fund transfers and annual audits and other finance related compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Partner Projects Finance 
(a) Reviewing partners finance reports and verifying project expenses; 
(b) Overseeing overall budget compliances and forecast, re-alignment and revisions as and when needed;
(c) Facilitating fund requests from partners/ fund transfers from HQ
(2) Capacity Building and Training Support 
(a) Training and coaching to the partners on finance standards and reporting formats of organisation (both India based reports and overseas templates)
(3) Compliances and Reporting
(a) Ensuring timely submission of all finance related periodical compliance and statuary reports (including annual returns to RoC and ADB); 
(b) Compliances related to partners projects (both Organisation and finance related) includes FCRA, IT, 80G, 12A; 
(c) Coordinating with banks (ADB), RBI and related bodies and third party auditors/ consultants, Company Secretary, etc.
(4) Audit Management   
(a) Facilitating internal and external audit processes;
(b) Arranging internal and external audit of the partners through third party appointment (as per donors’ compliances)
(5) Admin
(a) Perform ad-hoc special projects related to Admin as assigned from time to time
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:        
Qualifications: 
Applicant must possess Bachelor’s / Master Degree in accounting/ finance.
Experience:
(1) Minimum 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required; 
(2) Proficient in accounting and database systems with experience in Quick Book and Tally accounting packages preferred;
(3) Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel;
(4) Experience of working with non-profit organisation and program – finance linkages documentation;
(5) Language proficiency in English is required;
(6) Willingness to travel for outdoors works and if necessary outstation travels.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross remuneration budgeted for the position is attractive. Offer shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary history, of the selected candidate.
