WWF-India was established as
a Charitable Trust on November 27, 1969, to further the mission of stopping the
degradation of the planet's natural environment and building a future in which
humans live in harmony with nature. Rechristened the World Wide Fund
for Nature-India in 1987, WWF-India has over 40 years
of experience in this field.
A constructive, science-based organization, WWF-India,
in keeping with the tenets of its parent organization, addresses issues like
the survival of species and habitats, climate change and environmental

WWF India has vacancies for
25 young, sales and marketing professionals, to strengthen organization’s
fundraising operations in key metropolitan cities, including Delhi, Mumbai and
Bangalore.
This is an exciting learning opportunity for motivated, young
graduates with prior exposure to direct sales, to work with the country’s
premier and most respected non-profit in the field of conservation. WWF
Indiahas a mature individual fundraising programme that has been
operational for more than six years. Post holders will work in close
collaboration with individual donors to help mobilize funding for credible and
respected conservation projects in nature protection, encompassing
biodiversity, enviro-legal action, policy studies and advocacy.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
(1) Develop an understanding and awareness of WWF India’s
work;
(2) Make presentations and calls and explain about WWF India’s work to members of the public in a clear and interesting way;
(3) Meet set income targets by signing paid supporters and individual donors for WWF India;
(4) Develop and manage long-term relationships with donors and upgrading them up the donor pyramid.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
(1) Graduate/ Post Graduate/ MBA from any recognized University;
(2) One to two years experience in direct sales with any industry (preferably in financial services, with prior exposure to sales of products like credit/ debit cards, loans, insurance, etc.);
(3) Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to talk and listen to people and build rapport with them;
(4) Keen desire to learn on the job;
(5) Energy and drive to inspire people and promote WWF India’s work;
(6) Ability to work towards fundraising targets, accept and implement feedback.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross monthly remuneration budgeted for this position ranges
from Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 20,000/-, based on experience and salary history.
Fundraising Executives who meet with targets are likely to be
rewarded with good increments based on targets achieved and performance in the
role.
6. LOCATION: Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore
7. CONTRACT:
The selected candidates shall be offered a Consultancy Contract as
employees of WWF India, for the initial six months of
probation and subject to satisfactory performance, transitioned to regular
employment on the direct payroll of WWF India, thereafter.
