Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) is a not for profit development organization which was established in 1961 to support development Programmes across India especially to the vulnerable communities and grass root community based organisations.

IGSSS vision is of establishing a humane social order based on the tenets of equity, liberty and justice in which the human rights and dignity of every individual is upheld.

IGSSS implements and support quality development programmes in 24 States and Two Union Territories in India to empower individuals and communities. Through its programmes on Sustainable Livelihood, Disaster Risk Reduction, Gender Equality, Urban Homeless and Youth Development, IGSSS has reached out to more than One Lakh families every year. The Programmes at IGSSS are targeted towards the poor, marginalized and vulnerable sections of the society with special emphasis on women and children.

IGSSS invites applications for the position of Officer- Programmes (O-PH) for its Field Office in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand.

Job Role 

The roles and responsibilities are: 

A. Direct Programme implementation and monitoring 
• Ensure implementation of the programmes to achieve the set targets at the field office level.
• Monitor and Evaluate Programme interventions to ascertain that the project is going as per the plan. 
• Shall be responsible for the Quarterly review of the work, prepare reports and documentation of good practices.

B. Finance and Accounts
• Ensure that the allocated funds are utilized as per the set financial procedures at the regional office level. 

C. Relation building and accompaniment
• Identify areas and designing capacity building of target community and partners so that the programme is implemented smoothly. 

D. Networking and advocacy
• Establish linkages with likeminded organizations and individuals around the issues taken for intervention in order to enhance the impact of the programme in a larger geographical area.
Qualifications and experience
• Post graduate in the field of Development preferably MSW/Social Sciences with 4-5 years experience in the development sector preferably in the field of Livelihood with hands on experience in direct project implementation.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the local contexts and sensitivities, familiarity of working with marginalized communities, specifically ST / SC and OBC.
• Demonstrated expertise in promoting partnership, establishing networking and linkages.
• Adequate skill in program planning, monitoring, evaluation, capacity building and dealing with multiple stake holders.
• Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of budgeting & budgetary control. 
• Good communication skills, fluency in English (written and oral), Hindi and knowledge of regional language of the region will be an advantage.
• Good report writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to develop project concepts.
• Willingness to travel is a must.
