Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) is a not for profit development organization which was established in 1961 to support development Programmes across India especially to the vulnerable communities and grass root community based organisations.
IGSSS vision is of establishing a humane social order based on the tenets of equity, liberty and justice in which the human rights and dignity of every individual is upheld.

IGSSS implements and support quality development programmes in 24 States and Two Union Territories in India to empower individuals and communities. Through its programmes on Sustainable Livelihood, Disaster Risk Reduction, Gender Equality, Urban Homeless and Youth Development, IGSSS has reached out to more than One Lakh families every year. The Programmes at IGSSS are targeted towards the poor, marginalized and vulnerable sections of the society with special emphasis on women and children.

IGSSS invites applications for the full time position of Officer-Finance and Accounts for its Field Office in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand.

Job Role 

The roles and responsibilities are: 

• Maintaining books of accounts of the Project/s on regular basis.
• Record keeping and financial management.
• Making Budget compliance, Monthly Financial Report (MRF), Quarterly /Yearly Financial Report (QFR/YFR), trail balance, SOE, annual balance sheet, receipt & payment as well as income & expenditure accounts of the project.
• Coordination and maintenance of statutory records of the Organization.
• Field monitoring of activities and its related expenditures.
• Helping the programme team in partner budget preparation and finalization. 
• Administrative responsibilities such as logistics, assets management, leave records maintenance.
• Liaison with Head Office Finance, H.R and Admin Departments for all related issues. 
• Compliance with Donors and organisation financial/reporting guidelines 

Core competencies required
• Sound knowledge of various financial statutory requirements. 
• Good computer knowledge especially MS Excel
• Excellent analytical skills
• Efficiency in handling multiple tasks
• Knowledge in financial softwares such as Tally
• Open to travel

Qualification & Experience Required 
Graduate in Commerce (B.Com) with minimum 4-5 year experience as accountant in any development sector organization/Trust.

Post Graduate in Commerce will be an advantage.
