Brief on the Organization:
The Public Health Foundation
of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to
address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by
strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and
facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health.
PHFI is
headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units
of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centres of Applied
Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a
public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of
senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and
leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. For more

Project Brief:
The Research Grants
Administration is a central unit of PHFI. Members of this unit assist
researchers and faculty members across PHFI and IIPH to make and submit
applications for funding. They liase between the PHFI members and donor
agencies. They also liase between the Principal Investigatos at PHFI/IIPH,
finance department, legal department and HR.
Deliverables:
Deliverables:

Identifying
opportunities for grant funding
·
Coordinating various
aspects during proposal development and its submission process
·
Assisting Principal
Investigators (PIs) in collating information necessary for developing grants
proposals and helping with preparations of draft budgets as required.
·
Collating concept
papers into a single body of work and ensuring completed proposals are of the
highest standards
·
Creating outlines,
building templates, databases, preparing review drafts, scheduling and
coordinating meetings between PIs and tracking the completion of assignments.

Assist in various
other responsibilities of the Grants Administration team.
Qualification & Experience:
Master degree or At
least two to three years’ experience in related field is required including
some experience with public health research proposal preparation/budgets and
sponsored research award management The person must have keen eye for detail
and skills in copy-editing, grammar, style, spelling and punctuation throughout
the proposal development effort. Creative flair, knowledge of office
productivity applications to production of high-calibre proposals. Ability to
meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills are essential when collaborating with diverse groups;
Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and
PowerPoint Ability to work independently; Ability to manage multiple competing
priorities; Excellent management and organizational skills
Annual Salary (CTC) will be
approximately Rs. 3,00,000/- and will be based on the available skills and
fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process.
