3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
In the context of “giving“ in India and growing trends for CSR within corporates in India, the scope for mobilising support is the key to building sustainability and reducing dependency on overseas funding support.
The job entitles developing strategies to mobilise corporate support for projects, establishing tie ups for cause related marketing, event engagement and promoting brand visibility. The incumbent should have good understanding of programmes, preferably relating to health or disability sector for ensuring continuity of the corporate donors’ key to increase viability of the business model, developing a strategy for their retention and engagement of the companies and its employees and working on innovative event concepts for engaging them.
The purpose of the job is to work with corporates to seek project funding, establish cause related tie ups, event participation and other forms of engagement to generate funds for Sightsavers projects. The incumbent shall provide support to the Director-Funding & Marketing for research on trends in corporate fundraising, preparing reports, budgeting and in supporting operations for corporate fundraising forSightsavers India.
S/he will also be responsible for supervising teams and facilitating effective co-ordination with teams, F&M verticals, Programme and Monitoring Teams and Finance and HR operations.
Key Job Responsibilities:
A. Developing strategy for corporate fundraising 
(1) Undertaking research and preparing data base of prospective corporate bodies who could partner withSightsavers. The data base has to be segmented industry wise in alignment with the cause; 
(2) Writing and customising proposals for the corporates;
(3) Developing concepts for cause related marketing and test them with the corporates;
(4) Setting up the process for corporate payroll giving;
(5) Developing innovative event concepts for engaging corporates, raising funds and enhancing brand visibility for Sightsavers;
(6) Reducing the timelines for corporate call for proposal by creating a proposal bank within the organisation;
(7) Developing engagement framework for Sightsavers, for improving the confidence and satisfaction amongst corporates; 
(8)Timely acknowledgement of donations, sending regular updates on utilisation of donations and arranging visits to the projects;
(9) Creating engagement points for the employees for volunteering and fundraising.
B. People management
(1) Taking overall responsibility, in discussion with the Director-FM, and with the support of HR, for development and retention of staff in the corporate fundraising team and getting involved for fresh recruitments;
(2) Ensuring that current best practice is exercised for management of staff;
(3) Ensuring that support staff has the capacities and are encouraged to meet their performance standards;
(4) Monitoring and helping in improving capacities of the support staff.
C. Relationship management
(1) Cultivating and increasing support from existing corporate partners in India; 
(2) Ensuring accountability of funds according to established norms;
(3) Managing effective networking with corporate bodies comprising FICCI, IICA, TISS, CII etc.
D. Organisational
(1) Actively contributing to Sightsavers’ India funding & marketing strategy;
(2) Building relationships with Programme and Monitoring & Evaluation team for sourcing information for current projects or possibilities of designing projects in line with the Country Strategy.
E. Financial management
(1) Maintaining annual income and expenditure forecasts for corporate fundraising;
(2) Agreeing on the level of financial resources necessary to achieve the agreed strategic objectives with Director of Funding & Marketing;
(3) Budgeting, reporting, documentation & analysis and sending reports to the Head of Funding & Marketing;
(4) Providing support to other verticals for fundraising & marketing.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: 
Qualification: 
Applicant should have a degree in marketing or equivalent, from a reputed institute.
Experience:

(1) 8-10 years of relevant experience in corporate fundraising; 
(2) Understanding of the corporate fundraising market in India; 
(3) Ability to write or customise proposals/concepts for corporates; 
(4) Financial budgeting experience; 
(5) Experience of working with an international organisation; 
(6) Ability to vision, strategise and implement the same; 
(7) Team Management skills comprising delegation, supervision and decision making abilities; 
(8) Capacity building skills.

(1) High energy levels and passion; the incumbent should be Creative and Confident;
(2) Excellent communication abilities – both oral and in writing;
(3) High levels of Planning, monitoring and prioritising skills;
(4) Strong skills in attention to details;

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Offered compensation would be commensurate to the salary history, qualifications and experience of the candidate.
