The Communications Associate will work closely with the research team to craft and implement communications and event and media plans for ongoing projects. In addition, the Communications Associate will guide strategy to expand the influence of JustJobs Network’s work throughout India and the world through both targeted and general communications campaigns.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong writing and editing skills, an inquisitive demeanor and an interest in improving the world of work around the globe.
Key Job Responsibilities
(1) Create company newsletters, blogs and other publications;
(2) Ensure effective outreach and dissemination of the organization’s activities, including local and international events;
(3) Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications;
(4) Recommend, implement and maintain website design and operation;
(5) Promote the organization through public relations initiatives by developing fresh story ideas and conducting extensive media outreach;
(6) Create and distribute press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, social media content, briefing materials and speaking proposals;
(7) Create and maintain press lists for India, South Asia, Europe, Africa and North America;
(8) Research media coverage and industry trends;
(9) Manage contact databases and information.
Master’s degree in English, Mass Communications, Journalism, or related field.
Two to three years’ experience of working as a communications professional with a public policy organization.
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Demonstrated interest in labor, employment, and globalization issues;
(2) Advanced skills in using a variety of software packages including Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress, MailChimp, MS Office;
(3) Legal eligibility to work in India.
The gross remuneration budgeted for the position is Rs. 6 lacs per annum. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary history, of the selected candidate.
