BACKGROUND:
The
multitude of health problems and poor health indicators notwithstanding, India
has a vibrant healthcare ecosystem with hundreds of activists, entrepreneurs
and institutions initiating programmes and experimenting with processes, to
improve health outcomes.
The Wadhwani
Initiative for Sustainable Healthcare* (WISH), is a not-for-profit initiative
to strengthen and support these people and institutions, across the for-profit
and not-for-profit sectors. WISH strives to streamline the evolving
healthcare innovation eco-system, to reduce inefficiencies, channelize growth
momentum and ensure alignment with government policy. WISH is championed by Mr Sunil Wadhwani,
Chairman and Co-Founder, iGate Corporation, USA.

WISH fosters healthcare
innovation, supports high-impact scalable organizations, mobilizes resources of
key stakeholders, involves end users in the innovation process and builds
evidence on interventions that improve health outcomes for the rural and urban
poor in India. It provides a unique platform to leverage the best of the
for-profit and not-for-profit sectors for identifying, supporting and
strengthening healthcare solutions for the bottom of the pyramid (BOP)
population.
Primary
services provided under the WISH initiative include ecosystem building
through workshops, conferences and innovation labs; Blended capital financing
and a shared services platform for entrepreneurs to access legal, technical and
support expertise. WISH carries out rigorous, evidence-based
technical evaluation and research and shares results through an interactive
Knowledge Hub.

JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Human
Resource Specialist (HRS) would be responsible for sourcing,
managing and engaging with the talent in the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Developing positional requirements and standards of performance for all existing and potential positions in consultation with the heads of functions, state teams and the CEO, building and maintaining an updated database of the employees and consultants for future requirements both nationally and in the states of interest;
(2) Developing robust talent sourcing strategy, establishing an objective, time bound talent search and hiring process;
(3) Designing mutually beneficial periodic 360 appraisals and appropriate feedback sessions during probation as well as post-confirmation stages for all employees, documentation of appraisal records, implementation of appropriate action plans agreed upon during the process;
(4) Assessing employees’ training-needs and organizing training and development programs from time to time;
(5) Developing appropriate financial and non-financial rewards and recognitions of performance including promotions, timely implementation of such rewards and recognitions;
(6) Developing and implementing a unique corporate culture, establishing a persuasive internal communications reinforcing the culture, organizing people-engaging, team building and motivational initiatives/activities/events on a periodic basis;
(7) Establishing and implementing a fool-proof record-keeping system for all employees in terms of background data, family data, health records, performance appraisals, training needs and attendance, career progression against plans;
(8) Developing and implementing a policy for the organization, ensure adherence to the policy;

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, or any other related field, from a reputed institute.

Experience: Minimum six years of experience in handling different aspects of
Human Resource Management;
Skills:
(1) Demonstrated ability to create policy/ processes;
(2) Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to work well in a team and successfully interact with a variety of constituents. Must be a great listener;
(3) Excellent oral and written communication skills;
(4) Superior analytical and problem-solving skills;
(5) Ability to manage and deliver independently and proactively in a fast-paced work environment
(6) Commitment to accuracy, attention to detail and follow-through.

COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The
gross annual remuneration budgeted for the position ranges between Rs. 8 to 9
lacs per annum.The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate
with qualifications, experience and salary history.
CONTRACTUAL EMPLOYMENT: The successful candidate shall
be offered three years contract, extendable based on performance.
