3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manager- Fundraising (MF) for SSF shall report to the Chief Manager and work in accordance with the organization’s objectives, policies and procedures and guidelines.
The MF will oversee resource mobilization through the growth of a portfolio of funding partners and cultivate relationships with corporates, individuals and institutional donors for the purpose. The post-holder shall also be responsible for ensuring the increased brand awareness of the organization.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Developing, implementing and monitoring fundraising strategies and targets for the Foundation; 
(2) Conducting research on potential donors such as trusts, foundations, companies and high net worth individuals, etc., identifying donors whose philanthropic or funding criteria match the Foundation’s;
(3) Managing, writing, producing, and submitting letters of intent, proposals and reports, to institutions, regional private individuals and private sector philanthropic and corporate foundations;
(3) Fostering and cultivating relationships with existing and potential donors, through participation in relevant industry events, as well as organizational engagement and outreach;
(4) Continually tracking, measuring, evaluating and reporting the achievement of resource mobilization and communication goals, with focus on recommending and incorporating improvements, as appropriate;
(5) Appropriately positioning SFF in relevant external forums, with donors, corporates, industry associations and civil societies;
(6) Developing, managing and updating databases to record donor contact and preference information; Maintaining a network of corporate and individual contacts and effectively managing and optimizing these relationships;
(7) Ensuring all donors receive appropriate and timely reports and updates;
(8) Developing and coordinating web-based fundraising, if needed;
(9) Sensitizing and training team members on fund raising skills and strategy.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
The applicants should possess a Post Graduate degree in Marketing, Management, Business Development, Social Work or related field.

Experience: 
(1) Minimum 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in non- profit fundraising;
(2) Applicants with prior experience of working with Civil Society, CSR, and philanthropic organizations, shall be at advantage;
(3) Successful record in leading and managing fundraising and/or sales strategies and teams;
(4) Understanding of different fundraising channels;
(5) Experience in grants management, monitoring, assessments and reviews, is desirable;
(6) Demonstrated experience of managing and motivating a delivery oriented team.
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Sound understanding of non-profit fundraising principles;
(2) Being well versed with the CSR policies in general and having access to various Indian corporate forums; Being current and up to date with legal issues affecting corporate fundraising;
(3) Extremely client focused and results oriented;
(4) Knowledge of and experience in fundraising and relationship management;
(5) Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal;
(6) Excellent organizational skills, including strong attention to detail;
(7) Excellent marketing and networking skills; 
(8) Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate challenging situations to achieve goals and deadlines;
(9) Demonstrated honesty and integrity of a high order;
(10) Willingness and ability to travel.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED: 

The offered compensation for this position is attractive and competitive to market rates. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
