2ORGANIZATIONBACKGROUND:
SEARCH is the respected, community-health, non-profit, established by the celebrated doctor couple Abhay and Rani Bang, in 1985, in Gadchiroli district, Maharashtra.
SEARCH is guided by the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and provides hospital care to the rural – tribal people of Gadchiroli, and works with marginalized communities in 134 villages of the district to identify and address their unattended health needs and develop community empowering models of health care.

SEARCH has successfully designed and implemented new ways of health care delivery for priority problems of the unattended and conducted population-based research trials of these interventions to influence national, as well as global health policies. Their Home-Based Newborn Care model has been tested extensively, adopted for national scaling-up in 2006 and endorsed globally by WHO-UNICEF-Save the Children in 2009.
SEARCH has a staff of about 100 full-time workers and 120 part-time workers. It additionally, engages labour, artisans and contractors as per requirement. It has a campus extending to 50 acres including 50 buildings and a hospital.
Gadchiroli is a Naxalite affected area, however, since SEARCH works for the betterment of local people,SEARCH and its employees are exempted from the threat of Maoists.

SEARCH wishes to recruit an outstanding Administrative Officer who will look after the administrative matters at the organization’s estate and campus at Gadchiroli. S/he will be a part of the senior team, independently handling the administration, infrastructure management, statutory compliances, government liaison and PR functions.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Director and Co-Director, the Administrative Officer will work in collaboration with the 10 Program Team Leaders and other staff, to support the smooth and effective working of the organization.
S/he shall be responsible to look after the organization’s sprawling estate and other administrative responsibilities. The job provides the post-holder with an opportunity to be a part of organization’s community based development projects.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(A) Administration:
(1) Handling HR activities including maintaining attendance, leave and service records of staff and overseeing utilization of office facilities;
(2) Regulating and maintaining vehicle utilization for various activities of the organization;
(3) Compiling and filing various returns as per Government requirements;
(4) Preparing periodic and annual reports of the administration department;
(5) Monitoring inventory of stores for office, building, vehicle and different departments;
(6) Conducting all purchase procedures (tendering, selection and purchase) and scrutinizing bill payment;
(7) Scheduling maintenance of office premises, furniture and equipment (copiers, printers, audiovisual);
(8) Liaising with government at local, taluka and district level for administrative activities:
(9) Coordinating with lawyers, solicitors, contractors and other agencies contracted by the organization;
(10) Assisting in the formulation of Institutional Policy and supporting the development of manual for public relation, human resource, procurement policy, accounting policy and administration;
(11) Managing the mess and maintaining the quality of food.
(B) Estate Management:
(1) Regulating maintenance of all premises (office premises, other buildings required for various programs; staff quarters) on the campus;
(2) Planning and monitoring of all maintenance and upkeep related work of the campus including buildings, furnishings and fittings, electrical supply, water supply, sewage management, resources such as wells and lake;
(3) Planning and monitoring new building construction.
(C) Public Relations:
(1) Ensuring that the project website has appropriate content and is updated regularly;
(2) Communicating with guests;
(3) Planning programs of visitors in SEARCH and their hospitality;
(4) Introducing the SEARCH activities to visitors, students, fellows and interns.
(D) Training and Coordination:
(1) Arranging space and other support facilities (Food, accommodation, electric supply back up for conducting training;
(2) Overseeing preparation for training.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: 
Qualification:
Applicants should be Post-graduates in health management, management, or other relevant discipline.
Experience:
(1) Minimum seven years of experience in administration at mid and senior levels;
(2) Experience of working in both social and corporate/ government sectors, is preferable.
Skills and Competencies
(1) Share the values of SEARCH and have a strong desire to contribute to its Mission;
(2) Excellent people skills, as well as proven ability of efficient administration;
(3) Willingness to work in Gadchiroli for a long term;
(4) Written and verbal command over English and Marathi; 
(5) Good writing and verbal communication skills; 
(6) Proficiency in using MS Office and other relevant software on computer.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Gross remuneration budgeted for the position is Rs. 470,000/- to Rs.530,000/-pa including benefits, with scope of improvement to 10% incase of expectional candidate.
(Salary: Rs. 35,000 per month + Benefits aggregating to Rs. 10,000 (PF + Gratuity + Medical Care + Housing)
