Project Description:

As part of our capacity building initiative Drishtee has set up Drishtee Skill Development Centre (DSDC). DSDC seeks to implement livelihood related skill development programs for rural communities to enable them to earn sustainable livelihood, either by acquiring employment in the organized/ Unorganized sector or by setting up micro-enterprises or rural production centers or by enhancing their production in vocations that they are currently perusing. The project is aligned with Drishtee’s 4C (Community, Capacity, Credit and Channel) approach. DSDC skill development centers are currently based in UP, Bihar, Assam, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu and offer training in sectors like Textile, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Construction and IT. DSDC has a partnership with National Skill Development Corporation, Godrej Group, Skill Development Programs of several State Governments and several Sector Skill Councils.
Details of Vacancy:
a) Designation: Business Development Manager
b) Most Important Skills : Good understanding of livelihood related training requirements of rural sector.
c) Desired Qualification Level : Post Graduate or Graduate from a reputed institute.
d) Most Relevant Experience : 5 plus years of project development
e) Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities are –
• Project fund/grant raising from Multilateral agencies, Foundations and Philanthropies
• Identification of relevant agencies
• Initiating dialogue
• Submission of proposals
• Follow up after submission of proposals
• Target to raise fund as mutually agreed.
Project Management
• Designing models/tools/questionnaire
• Team induction for implementation of the project
• Team coordination
• Coordination with partner
• Analysis and report writing
• Relationship Management and strategic
• Works in collaboration with the team, developing good working relationships
• Work closely with business development team, sharing knowledge, discussing ideas and helping the team to achieve targets.

• Passionate about working with rural communities
• Should be open for travelling in rural parts of India
• Good written and verbal communication
• Proficient in computer usage
• Good presentation & documentation skills.
