Working with surgeons in over 30 countries, SightLife and its Global Partners restore sight to more than 20 men, women, and children each day. This is accomplished through eye banks, which are centers for the recovery and placement of eye tissue used in corneal transplants. SightLife’s mission is to eliminate corneal blindness globally through partnerships with eye banks in developing countries, where 90% of the 10 million people suffering from curable corneal blindness live.

3. JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to SightLife’s Prevention Program Manager, Delhi and working closely with SightLife’s Global Prevention and Clinical Programs teams, and other key global SightLife staff and subject matter experts, the Program Coordinator (PC) shall be responsible for supporting both programs.
The focus of the post-holder shall be to support the Prevention and Clinical programs teams in India and Nepal through the following: 1) working with implementation partners to ensure data is collected and entered in a timely manner; 2) providing logistics support for programs, including travel and accommodations, transportation, and booking meeting spaces; and 3) working with vendors to source medical and other supplies, including awareness materials.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
(1) Oversee data collection from partners to develop project level reports for monthly and quarterly reporting cycles;
(2) Support skills transfer course alumni, collecting quarterly reports, resolving growth barrier issues and stewarding through continued engagement opportunities;
(3) Manage travel and meeting logistics for programs, including flight, hotel, and ground transportation;
(4) Source medical supplies and consumables for programs and manage inventory to ensure consistent availability;
(5) Support online communications activities, including drafting communication for social media and supporting web based events (i.e. webinars);
(6) Support filling of paperwork for government approvals, including Medical Council of India credentialing;
(7) Provide operational support for prevention and clinical programs teams and perform other duties as assigned;
(8) In all daily activities, strive to support the Mission, Vision, and Values of SightLife.
5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
The applicant must possess a degree in Public Health/ Social Sciences/ Hospital Management, or other relevant professional qualification.
Experience:
(1) Minimum one to three years of experience in the health sector in the area of providing program support;
(2) Prior experience of working in the support function with a hospital shall be an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi is essential. Knowledge of a third language shall be an advantage;
(2) Exceptional verbal, written, analytical, presentation, customer service and interpersonal skills;
(3) Ability to have patience and persistence while thinking quickly on feet; 
(4) Ability to meet deadlines and accurately attend to details;
(5) Excellent planning, time management, decision-making and organization skills;
(6) Self-motivated team player with desire and ability to learn rapidly;
(7) Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision;
(8) Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to use PCs, Microsoft software, web meeting applications and stay current with relevant technology and innovation;
(9) Commitment to the cause of corneal donation;
(10) High personal integrity and ethics;
(11) Ability to work late nights and weekends on periodic basis, as a participant in global meetings in different time zones.
