3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Finance Manager (FM), the Finance Associate (FA) is a mid level position, primarily responsible for grants management and monitoring of funds provided to the partner organizations in India. Ensuring financial quality and reliability, s/he shall support the FM on financial risks and opportunities, focusing the appraisal and analysis of financial aspects of proposals and reports including legal compliances.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Financial Support:

(1) Providing assistance in analyzing and reviewing financial proposals, reports and audits of ICCO partner organizations, with a view to ensuring proper accountability, transparency and financial/ statutory compliances;
(2) Close monitoring of counterparts in terms of expenditure and implementation of activities and outcomes, in collaboration with the Programme Team;
(3) Undertaking monitoring visits to counterparts and their projects and other relevant organizations across India, for data compilation and reporting on NGO due diligence;
(4) Preparing and analyzing NGO due diligence reports
(5) Continuously updating all financial information in the internal MIS, Micro Soft Dynamics (MSD) and project monitoring tools;
(6) Reviewing and analyzing budgets and financial statements.

Administrative Support:

(1) Providing assistance in conducting capacity building workshops, including managing entire logistics, developing training modules and other related administrative tasks;
(2) Assisting the FM in planning and organizing various meetings and events;
(3) Performing any other relevant tasks/ duties, as assigned by the Supervisor.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess MBA and/ or Master’s degree in Commerce/ Finance and/ or any related field

Experience:

Minimum four years of work experience in independently handling accounts and grants, preferably in developmental sector

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Excellent understanding/ knowledge of financial systems and procedures;
(2) Proficiency in using MS excel, Tally and any other accounting related software’s;
(3) Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi;
(4) Willingness to learn and ability to work in a team;
(5) Open to travel within India.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Gross annual remuneration budgeted for the position is attractive. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and salary history, of the selected candidate.

6. CONTRACTUAL EMPLOYMENT:

The successful candidate shall be initially offered one year contract, renewable, based on performance.
