WORK CONTEXT / BACKGROUND:

World Vision India is one of the PR’s of the NFM (Global Fund Grant). The project will be implemented in low-performing TUs of 70 districts/100 cities across 8 states of India in partnership with 6 NGO-partners. WV India is responsible to provide overall leadership to the project, build capacities of the partners, monitor the operational and financial components of the project and represent the project at national and international forum. The PMU of WV India hires 4 State Consultants to help the Project Director to take key technical and operational decisions related to the project in the respective states.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

  1. Coordinate with the PMU of the project and under the supervision of PD for advocacy and documentation.
  2. Provide technical assistance to the project in formulating strategy and developing materials and tools for TB advocacy.
  3. Build capacities of the SR-partners on advocacy and documentation.
  4. Make regular field-visits to explore advocacy issues, case-studies, success-stories and document them with photographs and relevant data & evidences and bring to the notice of SR-partners, State Consultants and PMU members and guide them how to utilize them for state and district level advocacy.
  5. Provide assistance to State Consultants in conducting advocacy meetings and soft-skill trainings at the state level.
  6. Provide overall coordination to develop and print the annual report and good practice documents of the project.
  7. Coordinate with national level TB players, participate in national and regional level TB workshops, seminars and conferences on regular basis and advocate for the TB patients and vulnerable groups on the basis of project-experiences and learning together with the PMU members.
  8. Provide assistance to develop abstracts, scientific papers
  9. Collect and compile good practices and success-stories from the partner’s quarterly reports and do necessary editing with appropriate pictures to keep them ready for dissemination as and when required.
  10. Will develop and provide project-report/write-up to CTD for RNTCP Annual Report in consultation with the PMU members.
  11. Minute the proceedings of important meetings (CTD, GF, SR-review, PMU staff, other CSO-partners) and keep them as records for ready reference of Project Director.
  12. Coordinate with the advocacy Department of the NO of WVI on regular basis.
