WORK CONTEXT / BACKGROUND:
Funding scenario globally is changing. As an
organization World Vision is going through a challenging time in meeting growth
need through sponsorship. Recently
concluded RWG mandated all National Offices to explore revenue growth in four areas including grants, NRD (sponsorship &
corporate), GIK & Food aid as contextually appropriate.
World Vision India is at an interesting
threshold in its ministry. It has over
the years created a broad base throughout the country even as there are
increasing opportunities for growth. However this broad base and spread is
primarily built on predominantly a sponsorship foundation. There are increasing
opportunities for growth. It is time to consolidate
our work in ADPs while diversifying resources, strengthening technical
competence, refining our programming as well as move towards scaling up our
impact (not programmes). Thus diversifying our funding base is not a
choice but a mandate.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The
purpose of the position is to lead successful international grant acquisition
and management on behalf of World Vision India. Responsibilities include
managing and strengthening WV India’s relationships with World Vision
international Support Offices, external grant partners and international
institutional donors in India, and lead development and implementation of all
necessary strategies, policies, and processes necessary to sustainably grow and
maintain World Vision India’s grant pipeline.
