3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Overview
BSSL would
like to hire an outstanding engineer to look after operations at multiple
project sites of the Sports Infrastructure Division and ensure their timely and
cost-effective execution.
The focus of the post-holder shall be to manage all site and
off-site operations, including client relations management.
This is a strategic, senior management role reporting to the Managing
Director, with anticipated progression to Head
of Operations, BSSL, in the case of a strong performer, within
a few years.
Key Responsibilities
(1) Liaising with suppliers for materials;
(2) Identification and application of new technologies;
(4) Supervision and guidance of a large team of engineers and support staff;
(5) Key account management of existing clients;
(6) Overview of all ongoing projects;
(7) Ensuring cordial relations with all clients for longer benefit to the organization through good communications;
(8) Constantly raising the bar for excellence in delivery to existing clients;
(9) Overseeing the preparation and revision of contracts/ proposals that involve the provision of services;
(10) Administration of contracts, including the development and execution of project implementation plans for the client;
(11) Preparation of contract briefs and revisions summarizing contractual requirements;
(12) Maintenance of detailed and organized files, preparing contract change notices and monitoring contractor performance, including reporting the status of contractors;
(13) Preparation and dissemination of information to appropriate employees regarding client needs and monitor the project and handle the full project management cycle;
(14) Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, client specifications and government regulations;
(15) Supervision of closing activities as needed;
(16) Assistance for tracking payments and deadlines through support staff;
(17) Provision of contract summaries and ensuring the successful execution of project;
(18) Extensive interaction with the client and consultants externally and with sales and engineering teams internally.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification
Applicants must be civil or mechanical engineers from a reputed
University/ Institution.
Experience
(1) 12 year’s relevant experience, at mid and senior levels;
(2) Prior experience of managing construction projects is essential;
(3) Prior experience in the UAE, as well as a valid driving license, shall be an advantage;
(4) The ideal applicant shall be 40 to 45 years old.

Skills and Attributes
(1) Experience in successfully building and maintaining
client-based relationships;
(2) Proven track record in project management, site execution and client relationship development.
(3) Man-management, ability to solve problems independently and good communication skills;
(4) Knowledge of computers with proficiency in AUTOCAD, Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
(5) Strong analytical, negotiating and communication skills;
(6) Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi are essential. Knowledge of Arabic shall be an advantage;
(7) Ability to meet deadlines and accurately attend to details in high pressure situations;
(8) Excellent planning, time management, decision-making and organization skills;
(9) Self-motivated team player with desire and ability to learn rapidly;
(10) Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
Gross compensation budgeted for the position is approx. Dhs
20,000/- per month. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be
commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
Additional Benefits
(1) Performance Incentive: Annual performance incentive ranging
from 0-3 months of basic salary for achieving targets;
(2) Medical insurance for the incumbent, spouse and two dependents, up to 18 years age;
(3) Leave salary (viz. 30 days annual leave) and gratuity (viz. 21 days of basic salary for every year of service), as per UAE labor law;
(4) Annual flight tickets for self, spouse and two dependents, subject to a maximum of Dhs. 1,600/- per ticket.
