Project Description: As part of our Capacity Building initiative, Drishtee Foundation has partnered with Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (Jeevika) for training and placement of 3000 rural poor youth in 6 districts of Bihar in next 3 years. The project seeks to identify, design and impart employability training to the target youth that equips them with skill sets to help earn sustainable livelihood by acquiring employment in the organized sector. The project is in align with Drishtee’s 4C (Community, Capacity, Credit and Channel) approach.

The centers will be based in 6 districts ( Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Begusarai, Khagaria and Purnia) of Bihar that will offer vocational training to rural youth in sectors like Agriculture & Food Processing, Textile & Garments, and Building & Construction.

Position Description:

b) Main Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Manager will lead entire program of Jeevika – Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project in the state of Bihar. S/he will review on an ongoing basis training program being offered and develop new programs/ activities as needs emerge.
