Supply Chain Officer - IT & TL (SCO-IT&TL), eVIN Project,
Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh

1. POSITION VACANT: Supply Chain Officers - IT & TL (SCO-IT&TL), eVIN Project, based in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

2. BACKGROUND:

Strategic Alliance Management Services P Ltd. (SAMS) is a premier management consultancy that has been focused, on providing supply chain management, recruitment and payrolling services, exclusively to the public health and development sectors in India for the past 19 years.

SAMS’ clients include bilaterals, multilaterals, I/NGOs and both Central and State Government organizations. SAMS has managed drug logistics and health supplies for the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) at CTD, MoHFW for the past 15 years. SAMS has provided similar support to NVBDCP and briefly to NACP.

Ernst & Young (EY) has awarded SAMS a capacity building project, to help state and district health officers adopt innovative technology solutions in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. This is under the Electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network (eVIN)project, an exciting, ‘breakthrough’ initiative that is expected to improve the availability of quality vaccines to the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP), in the target states and districts.

The project is funded through December 2016.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Regional Project Officer (PO) (For work-planning and regular reporting) and State HR and Admin Lead of Service Provider (For admin issues), Supply Chain Officers - IT & TL shall be responsible for temperature logger installation and eVIN stock data validation vis a vis stock register at cold chain point.

Key Job Responsibilities: 
(1) Supporting PO-Operations on Temperature logger installation; 
(2) eVIN stock data validation vis a vis stock register at cold chain point;
(3) Carry out training interventions during district and state level training as per the training needs of the state;
(4) Undertaking tasks assigned by Regional PO, related to preventive maintenance, hand-holding and technical support to Cold Chain Handler in one or more districts in the region;
(5) Coordinating with Regional Supply Chain Officer -IT and District VCCMs, for tasks assigned by Regional PO;
(6) Undertaking field visits for 15 days or more in a month.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification: 
Applicants must have Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in Information Technology or related field form a recognized university/ institution.

Experience: 
Minimum three years of relevant experience in IT, software management and management of data related to health programs.

Skills & Abilities: 
(1) Excellent written and verbal communications skills, both in English and Hindi.
(2) Knowledge of the local language of the duty station, will be an asset;
(3) Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Word, Excel and Power Point.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED: 
Offers to selected candidates shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history. (Notes: Candidates shall be working on the payroll of SAMS, a leading HR Agency for the public health and development sectors in India. Travel, Lodging and Boarding expenses shall be extra, as per company policy).
