Position Title : Manager - Operations and Program Management

Location : Delhi

Duration of Position : One year or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.

Brief on the Organization:

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centres of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. Project Brief:

Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is a public private initiative that has collaboratively evolved through consultations with multiple constituencies including Indian and international academia, state and central governments, multi & bi-lateral agencies and civil society groups. PHFI is a response to redress the limited institutional capacity in India for strengthening training, research and policy development in the area of Public Health.

Deliverables:
  • Tracks and program manage performance and open actions of units and team members through the review of completed work assignments w.r.t. overall annual plan and vision of ITSU.
  • Keep an inventory of the equipment and goods for the project office/company.
  • Administer the daily office operations and coordinate logistic requirements for the office.
  • Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
  • Carry out the tendering/procurement of HR recruitment and Administration related works.
  • Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
  • Ensures proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained.
  • Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained.
  • Represents management before employee groups, legislative committees, administrative bodies and officials of other levels of government, training institutions, and professional organizations.
  • Executes plans, policies, and programs in business and financial affairs, property and equipment,
  • supplies, housekeeping, clothing, food service, laundry, stores, forms, buildings and grounds maintenance, engineering and safety programs.
  • Develops budget recommendations for operating expenditures and/or capital outlay, personal services, equipment and materials, and maintains proper records.
  • Consults with operating officials on program plans in relation to fiscal capacity.
  • Supervises the revision of rules, regulations, and procedures to meet changes in law and policy.
  • Formulate current and long-range programs, plans, and policies for departmental programs.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Qualification:

Essential
  • Must have a minimum of post-graduate degree or MBA degree in Management or an associated area.

Experience:

Essential
  • 5 – 10 years’ professional work experience in leading NGO or Industry.
  • Specialized knowledge and experience of general operations, program management and administration.
  • Should have good knowledge and experience in using appropriate software and other computerized Microsoft office suite:
  • Should be familiar with , MS Office- Excel and PPT ,ERP and Project management tools b. Ability to read and write effectively. C. Strong ability to organize and prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and targets
