Brief on the Organization:


The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India.

It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centres of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. Project Brief: 

The HIV/AIDS Partnership: Impact through Prevention, Private Sector and Evidence-based Programming (PIPPSE) Project will be managed by a Consortium, led by PHFI as the Principal Recipient and, Futures Group, CARE India and Population Services International (PSI), as Sub Recipients. The PIPPSE Project aims to “strengthen the institutional and human capacity in prevention programs and private sector engagement through innovative approaches to contribute to achieving the goal of accelerating the reversal of HIV epidemic at the national and state levels.” The project will achieve its goal through: (1) evidence-informed, demand-driven technical assistance to National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and State AIDS Control Societies (SACS) in five focus states (Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh), to improve the quality of Targeted Intervention programs for Most At Risk Populations (MARPs) and Migrants; and to promote private sector engagement in HIV/AIDS programs and services; and (2) Promotion and sustaining innovations and demonstration models to improve the coverage and access of MARPs and Migrants to a continuum of prevention-to-care services,3) to ensure quality of life of People living with HIV

Deliverables:

• To support three Care Support Centers (CSC) in Thane Districts by providing technical support to ensure that the targerts are mets, the CSC services are provided to all eligible PLHIVs (Incl children) in Thane. Provide training to all CSC staff. To facilicate active referrals and linkages to health and social entitilements. Support CSC to accomplish their programatic goal and ensure timely reporting by CSC. Ensure coordination between CSC and PIPPSE project
• Responsible for overall coordination with SACS, NMP+, Alliance and other key stakeholders. Ensure coordination with 8 ART centers, all ICTC centers, TIs, PPTCT NGO and Link Worker Scheme NGO. Represent PIPPSE Project the State Oversight committee meetings, and othe meeting with Aliance (Vihaan), NGTP+ etc. To facilicate and address issues of coordiantion with health and other line departments. Data sharing by ART centers, ensure participation in the monthly ART coordination meetings, represent the CSC in the DAPCC meeting. participate in trainings for quality assurance and monitoring. Organise reivews and assessment of CSC as and when required. provide support to CSC in trouble-shooting and/or crisis management. Support in planning district level advocacy as well as the monitoring of Discriminatin Response Team in the district.
• Develop Project implmentation plan and ensure that the activities are conducted as per the plan. Support CSC to develop quarterly and monthly work plan. Ensure that all CSC staff are filled as per the national guidance. Ensure that all CSC staff are trained. Support CSC to enable them to implement and adhere to financial and programmatic guidelines. Ensure timely release of grant as well as timely submission of all finance related reports. Build linkages with legal cells .
• Collate, complie and forward pertinent issues/ information relating to CSC to PIPPSE. Report on the progress of CSC reqularly.
• Submit monthly report on the progress made by CSCs. Ensure correct data is filled in the various donors and stakeholders reproting formats.

Qualification: 

Essential:

• MBBS

Desirable:

• Degree or Diploma in Social and Preventive Medicines

Experience:


Essential:


• 2-3 years of experience in clinical, managing organisations or working in donor funded programs


Desirable:


• Demonstrated high quality of networing, coordination or have working in Care and support programs for PLHIVs. Knowledge of public health perspective and HIV/AIDS in particular will be desirable

Salary:


Annual Salary (CTC) will be approximately Rs. 12,00,000/- and will be based on the available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process.
