invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Administrative
Officer with Administration of Health Systems and Population
Studies Division. The appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis
for 1 year, which is renewable depending on performance and availability of
funds.
Duty station – Dhaka.
Salary – Annual Tk.4,55,250/-
inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances with other admissible
benefits.
Benefits/facilities
– 14.8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children
allowance @Tk.1,420/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory
healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life
insurance, subsidized transport and canteen. Transport and daycare facilities
are subject to space availability.
Job Profile:
- Administrative Support: Understand
the requirements (timelines, resources, people etc.) from Centre Support
Coordinator and PIs; Coordinate with concern staff members for
inter-allocation or hiring of resources; Coordinate with external vendors
for field site and logistical requirements; Raise requisition to procure
required materials / furniture’s / fixtures; Coordinate with Finance
department for facilitating payments; Provide support to internal staff
for submission of leave and medical bills on time; Coordinate with
IT department to solve any internal customer issues; Provide effective
logistical support to researchers; Coordinate with Finance, Procurement,
Human Resources, Research Administrations, Facilities Department and other
to ensure the Centre’s Support. Monitoring the day to budgetary
expenditures of the project; Prepare draft memo/letter as required and
initiate process; Maintain petty cash/revolving fund and required
advance in order to process administrative function of the
centre and internal customers' request in an effective and efficient
manner.
- Training/Seminar/Workshop
Management: Provide logistic support
to organize training/ seminars and workshops like contact with
participants, resource persons, venue selection and arrange per-diem;
Coordinate for lunches, teas and snacks for participants in
order to ensure smooth conduction of Training/ Seminar/Workshop.
- Control and Review: Process
stock item requisition; Arrange transport and international conference
travel booking and accommodation facilities; Process expenditure bills and
vouchers for reimbursement;Resolve escalated issues; Track the accuracy
and closure of internal requisitions in order to process internal
customers' request in an effective and efficient manner.
Requirements:
Education and Relevant
Experience:
- Masters in any discipline;
- 5 years of experience in the
administration domain preferably in a multi-national research
organization.
