2. BACKGROUND:
Oxfam commemorates
65 years in India in 2016. Oxfam
Great Britain came
to India for providing full scale humanitarian response during the Bihar famine of 1951 and has since supported civil
society organizations, across the length and breadth of the country.
Oxfam India is part of a global confederation of 17 Oxfams and came into being in 2008,
integrating the operations of six separate Oxfam affiliates, working separately in the
country. The Oxfams are rights-based organizations that
fight poverty and injustice by linking grassroots programming (through partner
NGOs), to local, national and global advocacy and policy-making.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a senior fundraising position reporting to the Director-
Marketing and Strategic Partnership, responsible for leading
and managing the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies to
generate new income, with emphasis on growing the base of regular donors and
converting supporters to regular donors, with a view to maximizing life time
income.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Establishing and managing existing channel partnerships and
exploring news ones to increase the organisations reach and the resources
generated in the region;
(2) Growing the committed giving base through acquisition programs in terms of quality, quantity, value and ROI;
(3) Aggressively pursuing acquisitions during humanitarian crises and coordinating with the donor development team to develop a communication cycle that converts one-time donors into regular donors;
(4) Identifying lead generation opportunities and developing a supporter journey with the team(s) involved to convert leads into regular donors;
(5) Identifying and delivering new income streams to build a diversified portfolio of regular income;
(6) Working in tandem with the donor development and retention team to build a seamless supporter journey designed to enhance supporter life-time value;
(7) Selecting, managing and motivating external agencies for the purposes of acquisition;
(8) Researching and evaluating market trends to identity opportunities and innovations for target key audiences, for new supporter acquisition;
(9) Developing strategies and implementation plans for the ongoing expansion and performance of the in-house face to face operation;
(10) Providing leadership and effective management of standards and performance, ensuring both financial and non-financial targets are routinely met;
(11) Ensuring high quality management, development and training of the in-house team to ensure retention and development of individuals within the team;
(12) Providing reports of a high standard on time and as requested.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
Applicants must be post graduates in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Communication, or other relevant discipline.

Experience:
(1) Applicants must possess a minimum six to eight years of post-qualification experience in
fundraising and a proven track record demonstrating experience of:

(a) Contributing towards strategy development and planning and
delivering of successful new acquisition channels and activities;
(b) Creating and managing budgets and delivering on targets as well as providing relevant MIS and financial reports;
(c) Knowledge and experience of direct acquisition techniques, fundraising channels and direct response
(d) Networking with agencies and expertise on individual fundraising channels available in India.

(7) Innovation and creativity skills to develop new opportunities;

(9) Flexible approach to working hours – ability to work evening and weekends if necessary.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross remuneration budgeted for the position is Rs. 12-15 lacs
per annum. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and
salary history of the selected candidate.
6. LOCATION:
New Delhi. (Note:
During the course of employment, the post holder may be required to move base
on a temporary or permanent basis, to any workplace controlled by Oxfam
India).
7. TENURE:
Fixed term contract for three years, renewable based on
performance.
