2. BACKGROUND:
Going to School (GTS) is an award
winning, creative, not-for-profit education trust that creates design-driven
stories, to empower all children with the skills they need to participate in
the world around them, solving poverty, unemployment and inequality.
GTS imparts
entrepreneurial skills to government school children, through the art of
storytelling with the help of books, games and activities designed by GTS.
School teachers are trained by GTS to impart these skills. GTS’s
curriculum has been widely recognised and has also been included in NCERT at
the national level. GTS is working closely with the Government
of Bihar and Jharkhand. GTS has an MOU to work in 3,000+
Government schools by 2018.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Manager HR, the HR Executive shall provide operational
support to ensure the effective functioning of GTS’s human resource systems, gaining a
unique opportunity to shape the growth of the organization. Attention areas
shall include recruitment, managing staff contracts, staff orientation and
performance management.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Assisting the recruitment process, including screening of applications, developing and releasing interview call letters, coordinating interviews and the early closure of recruitments, ensuring efficient turnaround times (TATs);
(2) Organizing induction trainings and orientation programmes for new employees;
(3) Coordinating with the Manager HR to ensure that timelines for staff performance appraisals are followed and respected by staff;
(4) Implementing the strategy for professional development of staff, including the facilitation of training and executive coaching;
(5) Processing entitlements and benefits for staff, in accordance with the organisation's rules and regulations;
(6) Organizing employee engagement activities and workshops for improving employee satisfaction;
(7) Identifying forums through which employees can share grievances/ issues with HR;
(8) Conducting periodic engagement surveys including the generation of outcome reports;
(9) Ensuring adherence to the organization’s HR policies such as work from home, emergency leave, etc.;
(10) Ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of administrative processes.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or General Management.

Experience:
(1) Applicants must possess two years of relevant work experience in Human Resources Management;
(2) Prior experience of working with the development sector, specifically in the education sector and in a dynamic environment, shall be an advantage.

(1) Confident and well-organized self-starter with the ability to work effectively on her/his own and with minimal supervision;
(2) Excellent administrative, organizational and planning skills with attention to detail;
(3) Excellent writing and verbal communication skills;
(4) Excellent inter-personal skills with a demonstrated ability to use judgment, initiative, tact and discretion, as appropriate;
(5) Fluent in English and Hindi
(6) Advanced knowledge of popular computer applications, such as, Microsoft Office, (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and new social networking applications.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross remuneration budgeted for the position is Rs.3-4 lacs
per annum. Offers shall be commensurate with the qualifications, experience and
salary history, of the selected candidate. (Note: Additional benefits, including
travel, stay, food, phone bills and medical insurance shall be covered by GTS).
